Customer Reviews

Saw-Max Blade Set for Wood, Plastic, Drywall, Laminates, Metal, Brick, and Tile (12-Piece) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Discounted blades This is a great package, mainly to offset the high cost of replacement blades. The saw Max blades have a very short life cycle. It is rarely that one can complete a minimal project without using up multiple blades, which are expensive individually. The quality of the blades has to be improved to enhance blade longevity.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Need a lightening nut and washer plus secure tool My Wife bought the Drexel max 4" saw for me and the lock nut for the blades was over tightened because when I tried to loosen it the nut broke in half . Long story short none of vendors carrying this tool in the greater Kent , Washington area have replacement lock nut parts and the original part is proprietary....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great saw..... Horrible life on blades. I bought the saw max recently and on one not so big project, it's taken 6 blades!!! I really wish you guys would create blades that would last longer, maybe a toothed or jagged edge coated with the existing materials for the wood blade..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Saw-Max tool and blades work well for occasional handyman jobs I am a handyman, maintaining several homes and a condo. The Saw-Max is really handy for cutting a variety of materials. I just used it to plunge cut openings for additional soffit vents in my home into 3/8-inch thick in-place plywood facia material. One-handed cutting was needed as I was working from a ladder 24 feet above grade. I used it recently to plunge cut a square hole into the sheet metal of a cold air return using this tool, it working well. This 12-blade set is a good way to get full use of the Saw-Max tool, the blades having a full array of cutting applications including wood, metal, plastics, tile, masonry and ceramics. The case included is a handy way to organize the blade storage and to track what you have on hand. As far as these blades themselves are concerned, they have fairly short lives, making them a bit expensive and geared for small jobs. Buying a set like this helps reduce the cost per blade. I obtained my Saw-Max with the relatively short blade life as an expectation, that overcome by how versatile and handy the tool is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Metal Blades I own my own hvac company. I use the tool for alot of reasons especially in sheet metal. But the metal blades dont last that long and the blades really has problems with 26 gauge sheet metal. The last three packages at least one blade the center pops out as soon as take it out of package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A "must have" assortment of cutting wheels for your Saw-Max The metal cutting blade cut quickly & smoothly thru corrugated tin siding. The Saw-max keeps the cutting wheel at the right depth preventing excess wear on the cutting wheel. The masonry cutting wheel cut quickly & smoothly thru fire brick. I had no problem cutting thru the top & bottom of the 1.25" thick fire brick, since the saw-max cuts to a 0.75" depth. The wood & plastic cutting wheel labored cutting thru 0.5" plywood, but easily cut the lid off of a 55-gallon plastic rain barrel drum. I had no tile, so I didn't use the tile cutting wheel.
