Customer Questions & Answers

I need to heat a space up to 130 F to kill bed bug eggs. Does this heater have a temperature regulator that tops out below 130 F?

Where is the manual? I have not looked at the manual. I need to heat a space to 130 F to kill bed bug eggs. I bought a kerosene heater but it's temperature regulator tops out at 110 F. No mention of this on the box. Do you have a heater that does not have a temperature regulator or that has one that goes up to at least 130 F?
Asked by: Larry
I know this question is almost a year old so this is for those who are currently looking at this for bedbug elimination: It truly is unsafe to use a propane heater like this in your house and probably ineffective because of the temperature shutoff. So do what the pros do....set it up outside and use ducting to direct the heat into the house. Problem solved.

HOW MANY GALLONS WILL IT TAKE TO USE THIS 7 HOURS

Asked by: JOEFLYSA22
approximately 23 gallons propane has about 91,500 BTUs per gallon 300K BTUs / 91,500 = 3.28 gallons per hour 7 hours x 3.28 = 22.96 gallons this is of course dependant on if your tanks can maintain full pressure as pulling over 3 gallons out every hour will cause a large pressure drop and therefore a decrease in BTU output

The issue was that the Fan Motor, is mounted on a flimsy sheet metal support. The support is effectively a shallow "U" shape with a slot in it that the motor rests in. However, my fan motor, just like other reviews, was not able to "seat" itself in an stable fashion without the fan pressing firmly against the housing. I am pretty experienced in mechanical workmanship, so I was able to create a support that allows the unit to run. This is the cheapest 300k BTU forced air propane heater you will find, because the engineering and workmanship is well below standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Amazing! I read the reviews prior to purchasing. We bought to use in an uninsulated pole barn materials packing area with no walls or ceilings, just framing and pole barn metal. Now on a day where temps are 20 degrees with wind we are working with no coats or coveralls. We love this heater! It is completely worth the investment. Easy to operate, safe and lightweight. A++++

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! I got this for remodeling my house during the winter in Washington state. The house is 4200 sf and uninsulated, but this heats it up quickly and nicely. It does need a large tank though, it doesn't run well on a small BBQ size tank. You need to buy a 100# tank to allow it to operate constantly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Jumps off the ground when running Upon fire up It vibrated so bag it started to rip the fan motor out of its mount. Had to pull it apart to try and balance the fan and remount the motor. Had to use it to heat a shop so I'm using it the way it is. It still vibrates and moves across the floor so I have to keep an eye on it
