CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 29 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Lil' Tiller Very easy to start. Really does a nice job of churning the dirt. Just as good or possibly better than an Mathis tiller. I have a Echo chainsaw and grass trimmer also they are both great equipment also. Echo is making top quality equipment. April 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Honest Review I'm a fairly handy person; rebuilt my 350 boat engine, outdrive (lower), 396 chevy engine as well as a 283... Ok the review. This thing works well. I want to address the start issue mentioned above. I'm wondering if the individual didn't prime it or didn't have the switch turned on? I have had no problems starting it. The main reason I want to write this review is for the problem I DID have with it. Worked good at first but it then stalled. Easy enough to restart, but it kept stalling. I figured the problem; when the fuel level in the tank gets lower than the fuel return line, the thing will stall. The intake line does go to the bottom of the tank, but the return line is about half way up. So keep that tank full!!!! Now that I think about it, does this help you (the guy with the fuel problem I read about here)??? March 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Better than the Mantis Tiller This little tiller replaced a 10 year old Mantis tiller which had a major part wearing out mostly due to my fault. The Echo is almost the same as the Mantis except for; electronic ignition with lifetime warranty on that part, better hand grips, a better air filter to prevent dirt entering the carb, the newer spring assist starting system on mine, a 5 year warranty on the tiller, a different choke system , a waterproof improved on & off switch, & mine came with the kickstand. Mantis weed reducers work on the Echo plus certain parts! Highly recommended! June 7, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very useful I have had this tiller for a while it works great! I have used it to break a small garden and flower bed the kick stand makes it very useful December 2, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Save Your Money! Hopefully this review will help you save your time and money...buy the other brand. I have owned this machine for 3 years and purchased it because of its avowed flexibility. It operated with difficulty for 1 1/2 seasons. It did not operate at all during the last part of the summer, 2013 and this summer has been in a "dealer approved" service center. Perhaps you can tell that the "dealer approved" service center has not been very quick with repairs. This summer, 2014, I have operated it for 30 minutes and will be taking it in for service, AGAIN! Despite the 5 year consumer warranty, Home Depot will only return it for 90 days. The manufacturer will not return it and will warrantee repairs only if due to flaws in workmanship or defective parts. I have spent $550 on this machine, purchase and repairs AND IT STILL DOES NOT WORK. SAVE YOUR MONEY...BUY THE OTHER PRODUCT. September 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by broke too soon I bought this tiller because my house was full of weeds. This tiller did not work in the hard dried ground and even if it was wet, it did not go as deep as it should've. Then to make it worse, the purge bulb doesn't work, the gas doesn't go through. I bought it in 2012 and I used it once or twice. It's been there collecting dust. I do not recommend it. I should've bought something more heavy duty but I trusted the Echo brand. June 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the tiller! I have a small garden and it's the perfect size. Good at tilling hard to reach spots in my flower bed. First couple times I used it I had no problem starting it. Afterwards it would not start. I found out that you cannot use ANY gas with ethanol to mix with the oil. Even though the instruction manual states the gas may be used if the octane level is above 85. I emptied the first mixture of gas I used, mixed up a new batch and it started perfect! June 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WORKED REALLY WELL AND SAVED ALOT OF TIME A little hard to start for first time. After that started right up. I used true fuel as per other review recommendations. Really worked well for me. Tilled my whole veggy garden in about 45 minutes where use to take hours to turn over by hand. Move forward a light and pull back the tiller really digs in and goes deep then move forward again. Roots will get tangled in the wheels so needed to stop and clean roots out. Where there were no roots worked great. It really brought the rocks and stones to the surface for easy removal. Was able to get very close to fence and walls. Great item highly recommended. Just use TRUE FUEL. April 21, 2014
