CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread SRM Speed-Feed Universal 400 Trimmer Head is very easy to install and fitts on most trimmers. I have and Echo GT2400 and installed it in less then 10 minutes. The package comes with all bushings and studs for right or left hand threaded spindles. This particular model holds 20ft of 80 or 95 gauge line, If you can wind a clock you can install the line it is that easy. Take 20ft of line pass thru both holes on head until equal amounts are hanging on both sides of head then crank head until about 5" protrude thru holes, that's all there is to it. No taking head apart ond trying to install line so it won't bind. I would recommend this upgrade. October 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best bump head! This head came on my srm225 which iv owned for 3 years, I use it daily with my lawncare business and usually replace the head once or twice a year, and it would last alot longer for homeowner use. February 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by easy to use I don't have to reload again and again. Only one time and set to go. The original type I used was needed to reload two or three times to finish my lawn. I like this one. April 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lot easier than they used to be. This is pretty easy and quick to wind new trim line on. I really like it. It last OK I wish the top could be made of something stronger, but it last a couple years of medium use before it is totally worn through from bumping it to feed the line. September 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good Quality This speed feed 400 head works great and with the arbors supplied can fit multiple trimmers. I use it on my stihl fs55. August 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Best Trimmer Head Ever purchased. This is the easiest trimmer head I have ever used. November 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by easy to wind I like the easy winding.Just put the string through the center hole so it's equal on both sides turn the head and done.sure does beat opening the old ones up and trying to hand wind the things separate while they keep coming undone! I wish the head was made of a stronger material after a year of heavy use the top plastic wears out and the middle spring comes out and you have to buy a new one. June 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product I have a small lawn care business with many of trimmers from olded Echo's to Ryboi's to Homelite's, this "Speed Head" is the easiest head to load with trimmer line that I have ever used. With my business I cut a lot of hills that require trimming because a lawnmower would simply filp over and using trimmer line @ .095" last a long time. Be carefull though, when working in tight spaces that you don't hit the trimmer head off of hard objects: A) it will kick unexpectedly back at you, B) it will deteriorate the head quickly. But will practice I have become very skilled with the trimmer/head combination. July 9, 2013
