I have owned this mower for about two years now and have been very happy with it. The cord can be a pain somtimes but you just have to work with it. I mowed for the first time this season,at our new house, the grass in the back yard was very thick thanks to the fertilizer I put down. the mower is not very powerful in thick high grass, I like the mower I'll just have to mow a little more often.

This mower is perfect for anyone who wants a light weight machine that starts and runs easily. It takes a bit to adjust to the cord on it, but once you develop a pattern it goes quite well.I love it.I am disabled and can't even start a regular gas mower, plus those are hard for me to handle the weight of .I can mow my own lawn again with my new electric mower!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JRmom I mow the lawn more often than my husband does (because of his job travels). I've had a gas mower before and I hate having to deal with the gas fill-up. I knew I wanted an electric one this time around.
I chose a corded one over a cordless because of 3 factors: 1) I already use a corded snow blower so I'm used to dealing with the cord; 2) from the specs I've seen, the batteries add at least 30 more pounds to the mower and I needed something light in weight that I could maneuver; 3) I was afraid the battery would need to be charged again before I finished mowing on our 1/4 acre lot.
This mower met all the criteria I had: good price, corded electric, lighter weight. My yard is mostly level, no hills or slopes, with very few obstructions.
This mower was very easy to assemble. I put it together in about 10 minutes after opening the box. I have a 100 foot cord already (from the snow blower) so I was ready to mow when we finally had nice sunny day a few days later. Much quieter than the gas mowers in my neighborhood and very easy to stop and start at the pull of a lever. I'm very pleased with its performance.
There is a bit of an off gassing smell after opening the box. But that disappeared pretty quickly after a day or two.
The cord can be a bit of a pain to deal with if you're not used to it. But vacuums have cords too.
Also BE SURE TO USE THE RIGHT EXTENSION CORD. Don't skimp on this. Make sure you get an good outdoor one that is adequate in amps and gauge.
