Rated 2.2 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent bulbs - for the proper application! These are GREAT bulbs, when used in the proper application (e.g., outdoor flood lights that are left on ALL night, or for that matter, ALL the time). Typical lifespan in these applications is multiple years, with zero premature failures experienced. Yes, of course CFLs take a while to warm up, and more so in cold weather. But for an all-night outdoor flood, who cares if it takes a few minutes to warm up to max brightness? If you are using CFL for indoor, frequent off-on service, you've selected the wrong bulb type. This is NOT the proper application for any form of fluorescent lamp -- you need to be using incandescent or LED in those apps. Hence you will not experience the concern regarding slow warm-up time. Need to select the right bulb for the application! October 23, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Be careful about fitment... The bulb itself and the light it emits are fine. Takes maybe 10-15 seconds for the light to get to full brightness, but after that it's all good. The problem is that the ceramic part of the neck just below the threading is wider than a halogen bulb's. It didn't fit in any of our hooded floodlights. Trying hard to save electricity, but things like this don't help. July 30, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I purchased these bulbs on Sunday Dec.21,2014, these bulbs stayed on during the night.Once bulbs adjusted to the system, the lights flickered continuously during the day. I called HD spoke to a employee who worked in electrical department & explained the issue I was having with the bulbs not cutting off by the adjusted set timer. I was advised that my sensor system had a defect. NO! That was not the issue, I explained my system was working prior to me replacing my blown bulbs with these. Long story short, need for me to debate, I returned the bulbs on Wed. Dec.24,2014. I would have returned them the next day; however, I was ho ho ho shopping. December 24, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Short Life & Don't Fit In Floodlight Fixture I bought this 2-pack. I had to take the hoods off my floodlight fixture so they would fit. One light stopped working after almost one month. 7 year warranty? We'll see if they honor it. June 11, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Short Life I purchased 5 packages the last week in April 2010. So far one bulb has lasted only about 45 days! The claim for 7 years of life does not seem possible. Maybe the remaining 9 bulbs will continue to light. June 20, 2010
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Last in months not years Reasonable price but won't last long as advertised. November 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by florescent outdoor floodlight Installed 2 Lights. They worked good until the first time it rained. Then they both burned out. July 16, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Purchased these bulbs 4 years ago. 6 two packs. They went in the outside flood lights on coners of house. I discovered I also needed 12 socket extenders that I found at Lowes for $2.29 each (( Leviton )). ALL lights are still working and 4 of them are never turned off. February 21, 2013
