Answer:
I wondered about this myself, so I emailed the maker (EMSCO). This is the reply I received:
"The Extra Large Rocks do not come with stakes, they are heavy enough that they shouldn’t need any.
EMSCO’s Small, Medium and Large Rocks do come with 2 stakes for anchoring them to the ground."

No anchoring system but it seems heavy enough to stay in place. I've had it one month and all is well.

Answer:
These should be fine to withstand New England winters. Please be sure to use the stakes provided to secure it to the ground to avoid the wind to blow it away. Thanks for your question and good luck.

Answer:
Yes, in fact I considered this myself for my pond and waterfall piping. The resin is thin enough, especially if you are a DIY'er.

Answer:
There should not be a problem cutting out a hole in this product. It is lightweight resin and should be fine. But we do not warranty them after they have been cut. Thanks and good luck

Just barely fit over the equipment. Needed a larger size but this was the biggest Home Depot had. Unfortunately, it will not fool anyone even at a distance into thinking it is a real rock. But it is strong and should hold up for quite some time. Shortly after installing it, 2 bear cubs pulled it off and proceeded to wrestle on it. I was sure it would be cracked but there was no damage and I put it back over the equipment (after the bears departed) which it is keeping dry in heavy rains.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great - fits the bill! The faux stones we purchased from Home Depot to cover a dry well cover and electrical fixtures fit and looks great - we have a small garden/ sitting area around the stones integrating regular stones and plantings in the area with a bench! The area has been complimented by passer bys as it is located in the corner of our front yard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality, looks real. If putting in water(like pond)make sure it has water underneath and/or real rock on top to keep it from floating. Waterfall hitting it does not sound real(resin rock), so I put a wood log on top and it helped.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from looks fake It looks pretty fake, but it was the only rock cover that I could find big enough to cover my sprinkler valve. I guess it looks better than the ugly pipes and the price was not too bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid as a ROCK. Ordered it for my Mom in Florida to replace an old wooden structure. She thought it was great. Right size and weight. The best part---- free shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what we wanted! The fiberglass well cover (fake rock) worked out beautifully..strong and very durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what we were looking for. This is the only rock we found that was tall enough for what we needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Plastic Rock As I sit here, I wonder, how does one rate a big plastic (fiberglass) rock? I purchased the "Rock" to cover a well head and thus far, it has worked perfectly. No breakdowns, no mandatory service calls, it just sits there day after day doing it's job. I believe I'll keep it. I'd take a picture of the rock but I cannot get it to stay still long enough to do so.
