Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Whacking away at ELFA and INTERMETRO Shelving Great mallet and fit the need for installing ELFA shelving and modifying wire rack INTERMETRO rolling carts. August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not vary heavy I wanted to use this hammer for working on my guns. It is not as heavy as I thought. I will keep it for lighter jobs. July 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product I purchased this hammer for use in my diy shop. Very useful when working on small engine carburetor float pins and such applications. I would recommend this for anyone doing small home projects. April 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Did the job. Hello, I have been looking for a hammer for working with leather punches. The Poly mallets that Tandy sells are too expensive, so I reviewed this hammer. It works great on the yellow side, have not used the red yet. It does not mar the punch & it did not even leave a mark on the yellow head. The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 , is because the handle left splinters in my hand on 4 occasions. This BTW was the second hammer , as the first hammer left splinters (very small ones) in the store, just holding it as we walked around. I had my son put it back on the shelf & get another that I took home. 3 splinters at home. I took some 3M 600 grit paper & smoothed the handle a little & then put some Johnson's paste wax on the handle. Now it feels great. March 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid American-made tool Pros: Good sized very solid handle Head is hung very well-double wedges and handle tight into eye American made Attractive price Solid striker. Chopped half inch mortises through four by fours with no issues. Head material is really tough. No visible wear after several thousand hits (no metal- chisels and wood) Zero vibration and no bounce. Cons: Would have liked more a difference in durometer between hard and soft faces Varnish! When will tool makers realize we don't like varnished handles! Wood grain was not straight. Probably should have looked for one with straight grain I like the large handle but it back weights the head a little. I would prefer more weight toward the head January 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great soft hammer This is a great quality soft hammer for the money.Good for not marring wood or other soft materials. March 23, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No ability to exchange heads This could be a great hammer if heads were interchangeable. Un fortunately this is not the case January 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good sound tool Nice handle, good balance that allows you to control the impact. Nice December 27, 2015
