Answer:
Vertical runs of any non-insulated duct would be more prone to condensation. If this is installed in a cold climate, you should use an insulated duct.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best deal for the money. Was either replace the hose, due to wear, or buy a complete new vent kit. This package, is enough for two replacements ! At the same cost.. April 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dryer vent Returned product. Did not meet the qualifications of the dryer manufacturer. Obsolete vent. April 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great! I would definitely recommend this product, works!! March 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Confused. I bought this for my new dryer. The box clearly says "dryer vent duct". I have spent a lot of time digging through the upper level floor to have this install to shoot to the outside of the house for about 10 ft. The delivery guy and installer said that this type of foil vent duct is NOT TO BE USED WITH ANY MODERN NEW DRYER because the new dryers tend to produce more heat than the old ones. And indeed, on the back of the new dryer is stated not to use a foil vent duct because it is a fire hazard. So they didn't install my new dryer, moreover will void the warranty if I will still have it connected to that foil. New dryers require either metal or semi-rigid duct. Now, I will have to go through another floor installation on the duct! Frustrated! This aluminium foil duct might be good on other projects you might have, to push cold or warmish air but definitely not to be used with dryers. Why would home depot still sell these when they clearly are not to be used with dryers?!?!?! Please anyone explain! January 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dryer vent pipe My old vent pipe had "coronary artery" disease, really too much lint and was impeding the air flow and efficiency of the dryer. I thought it was the dryer at first as it is 20 years old. Not so. New piping and the dryer is working great. The washer and dryer are subject to heavy duty use. January 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unbelievable!!! This is the most AWESOME Dryer Vent I have ever purchased. It came out of a 2' tall box and opened up to 20'! How did they cram 20 feet of duct into a 2' box? I WILL FOREVER WONDER... They must hire Houdini to design their packaging...! December 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great. This was purchased to replace a wire reinforced plastic duct originally installed by the builder. The dryer vent duct was easy to install and is more durable for the application. It was a little tricky to fit the duct to the dryer but with a little adjustment it was attached and secured with the band clamp. December 22, 2015
