I saw a lot of packages that were resealed and I wondered why. Comparing to a brand new one all the pieces were there. In fact even the braided wire was still neatly zip-tied and the bag of screws unopened. I wondered why till I got home and started to put it together.
The issue is the angle braces. They fit on one side of my gate but the other side the hinge gets in the way.
I resolved this by only using one brace and on the gate and the other side I looped it around one of the hinge screws. I could do it better by replacing the screw with a bolt and washer or an eye bolt to make it more secure.
See the attached photos
It did resolve my sagging gate problem though.

Used on my very heavy, water-soaked wooden gate. It swings square on the hinges again after this kit and took less than 30 minutes to install. I propped up the sagging (swinging) edge of the gate with a couple of pavers first to force the gate square, then applied the braces and cable. Don't forget to widen the turnbuckle before you cinch the cable.
The kit works for up to 6-foot by 4-foot gates, I assume because of the max length of the cable. Mine was actually bigger; about 6X5, but I installed the lower brace on a horizontal support of the gate that was about 2 feet above the ground.
Great product for this specific repair job.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AmyW It does correct a sag & prevent them!
We have 5 of these. The first gate we put this on after the sag. While it helped correct it, we need a second turnbuckle to completely fix the problem. The rest of the gates we put them on as we built them and they worked even better. I would highly recommend no matter what gate hardware you use that you have the anti-sag kit on as well. Even when we used the heavy duty gate hardware to build the gate, the potential to sag was still very high because of the weight of the gate (over 4' wide) so these help prevent that.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MrBrian I was extremely Skeptical, but it worked for me!
My 4 feet wide by 6 feet tall dog eared shadow box fence gate was sagging. I propped the gate up just above level and installed the kit. I used a Ryobi cordless drill with Philips bit, 7/16 socket and rachet, adjustable crescent wrench and installed it in less than 30 minutes. The gate actually works like its suppose to for the first time in 3 years. Time will tell if it will continue to solve my issue because this is a heavy gate! Also, I didn't turn the turnbuckle as tight as I would have like to because I believe I would have stripped it out because it's not commercial quality.

I had higher expectations for this, the kit I purchased was short a wood screw, not a big deal, however the deal breaker was the aluminum turnbuckle that stripped out upon tightening making the kit worthless. This isn't even a defect, its an under engineered part. There's just no way that the aluminum in this kit will lift the sag of any but the lightest of gates. (and a gate that light probably doesn't need an anti-sag in the first place. The other hardware is steel and seems adequate. Its really disappointing to have to return to the store to rectify what should have been an easy fix. I would have to tell others to purchase the parts separately instead of this kit so you know you're getting a quality turnbuckle.

The aluminum turnbuckle stripped its threads when placed under full tension and one of the eye-bolts also opened under full tension. This kit is useful for light jobs only.

Purchased this to fix our sagging gate that is well within the dimensions on the package. The turnbuckle is made from very poor quality aluminum and stripped with only a little bit of tension on it. I would recommend an upgraded turnbuckle and I believe it would work just fine.

I had a sagging gate and the wood was great but had developed sag. For around 10 bucks, problem solved. That was 8 years ago and still going strong. Cheap price and extremely easy to install.
