Answer:
Using the above 48" min suggestion I bet you need at least 5. Four will only get you 12'.

Answer:
The spacing of the handrail bracket is not to exceed 48" along the rail, so you would need no less than 4.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent quality, good price. These would not have been my first choice, style wise, but I needed some to match the existing Bannister brackets. These match up so closely, you need to hold them side by side to notice any difference. They are of good quality and the accompanying hardware worked well. January 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Specifications weight rating says 500LBs Packageing says weight rating says 250LBs Went to store and found ALL this maufactures products are marked as weight rating says 250LBs on the packaging October 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the look of these! I replaced our old brass with these new stylish oil rubbed bronze. Love the new look. January 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy with this bracket; not happy with shipping charges The bracket looks very nice and was easy to install, once I found the studs in the wall. It looks like a high quality piece of hardware. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what was expected It's pretty difficult to say something groundbreakingly awesome about a bracket, but here goes: It's a bracket. It matches the bracket it replaced. It does it with style, but not at a high price. If the other identical brackets broke, I'd buy the same thing to replace them. Seriously though...it's a simple bracket for a simple handrail in a simple home. Nothing fancy, and nothing trying to be fancy. Capisce? June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice. Sturdy and a perfect match. Bought this to match a old existing hand rail. Durable and the screws were tough. Good match easy install. March 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wall railing bracket Used to hold 2" diameter circular wood as railing. Pretty good quality metal. January 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good, but screws are not solid brass The brackets are excellent, and claim to be rated at 500 pounds load. Took off a star because the screws are not solid brass but plated steel, so if used outside screws need to purchased separately. I found stainless ovalhead screws of the same sizes at Lowes for $4.95 for 30 of the large screws and same price for 40 of the small screws (used 10 of the brackets). July 17, 2014
