Product Overview

These durable and attractive compost bins feature a unique wall panel design allows air to continuously flow upwards along all 4 side panels. The Aeroquick compost bins have been put through rigorous testing at a facility in southern Italy, which features a climate similar to Las Vegas, Nevada USA. Their oldest test composters at that site are 15 years old and still working fine.

  • New air flow system: unique wall panel design allows air to continuously flow upwards along all 4 side panels
  • Much heavier duty/stronger than most other similar designs – material is 5 mm thick
  • Polyamide (nylon) corner clips are much stronger than any other compost bin, but still easy to remove if some one wants to take the unit apart
  • Compost bins are made from: high grade polypropylene copolymer resin – up to 40% recycled material

Answer:
No, most compost bin (traditional style) do not come with any kind of anchoring system. It is generally not needed. As soon as you fill them with organic debris they will become very stable and are most unlikely to blow over. We do offer one compost bin which is fairly heavy to start with (75 lbs) and comes with a Base with a reservoir - the Aerobin 400 - this is by far the best composter on the market Read More

Answer:
I really don't know which is better but I turn the compost material over. The simple tool that is made for turning the compost over works great and is easy to use.

Answer:
The design helps with aeration but, since natural composting is a very process, occasional use of a turning tool will certainly help. The material being composted should be slightly moist.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to assemble I selected this composter based upon its ease of assembly, price, quality, and customer reviews. I put it together last weekend in about 20 minutes without any special tools or skills. I just added the first lawn trimmings and kitchen scraps a few days ago, so it's too early to determine its usefulness as a composter. So far there is no odor even though it's August and hot outside, and there's no signs of undesirable critters being attracted to it. I think it should be fine. August 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Green disposal I have three Aero Quick compost bins. They work great. The green waste breaks down very fast compared to other compost bins I have tried. The Aero Quick compost bins are simple and well constructed. The assembly is easy with no tools required. August 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great, so far! This was easy to put together, and the quality of the material seems excellent -- it's very heavy duty! I installed it in our backyard in the middle of winter, and, after a month of use, it seems to be holding up perfectly well. I'll be interested to see how it does in the warm months, but we are pleased so far. It has a locking lid that's just slightly a hassle to open and close, but I'd prefer the minor inconvenience to a flimsy lid that is accessible to animals. Also, we're just two people in our household, and it seems plenty large enough to hold our waste. We empty approximately 1.5 gallons of kitchen compost per week. January 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprisingly spacious and sturdy After years of doing open air composting, as a result of a recent infestation of wild animals, we broke down and got this composter. I was impressed at the thickness of the heavy-duty plastic walls. The visual instructions were easy to understand and NO TOOLS WERE NECESSARY to construct it. Very well designed. I was impressed at how spacious the compartment is. As it has only been in operation for about a month, it is too soon to report about the compost, though the plant cuttings and kitchen waste is starting to accumulate. And, no more wild animal problem! June 11, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by On the whole, a good bin Solid construction except for the "locking" handle. Very feeble design in that regard. Large brick on top has corrected this flaw. June 25, 2013
