Overall this is a good product, HOWEVER, get a squeegee or dust pan with a flexible edge if you are going to do large surfaces. Yes to an extent this does self level, especially if you pour huge amounts, but it also sets extremely fast. I was doing a large shuffleboard table top 16ft long. 1 qt should have been adequate. Followed directive to a T. Small brushed on coast first mixing times etc. The main coat set so fast it left trowel marks. Another gallon later I finally figured out a good heavy coast and a squeegee, left things smooth like it should be. Expensive lesson for me to learn. Also as far as directions are concerned, pouring from one bucket to another is important but you only need about 4 minutes of mixing in each bucket instead of the 6 the directions say. Granted my garage was about 85 degrees so that could be part of that issue as well.

Bought this to seal a bottle cap tabletop (picture attached). The resin was very easy to mix (6 minutes in one bucket, then 6 minutes in a second bucket), and spread evenly and easily over the caps. Wish it were more affordable, however, it is a great product.
The only difficulty I had in using the product was not necessarily a product issue, but serves more of a word of advice for anyone who is attempting to encase bottle caps in resin. I had glued the caps to the table before pouring the resin, then fully submerged the caps with resin. There were air pockets between the bottom of the caps and the surface, which led to bubbles coming to the surface. I used a heat gun to pop most of them as the resin was hardening, but they kept coming and a few hardened at the surface (you can see them between the red caps in the photo).
If anyone else is attempting a similar project, I would recommend doing a thin layer over everything, but not to the top of the caps, letting it set for a few days, then doing another layer. This would ensure that any bubbles that do occur at least do not effect the flatness of your surface.

My finish hardened but had a few dimples- I tried wet sanding- horrible idea- now having to remove this stuff, restain, and refinish.
One thing I learned- mix way too much and just pour in place- spreading it causes the issue most ppl have. Bubbles come out easy. This stuff is very unforgiving. Practice first!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mark Very good product
I applied this product to a Southern Yellow Pine butcher block counter top in my work shop. The result is very good.
The product is easy to mix and self levels very well. NOTE: When I mixed the two parts, they did not get hot the way the instructions state. When they did not get hot, or even warm, I thought the product had failed. This was not the case.
To get rid of small bubbles the torch worked great; all the bubbles (tiny, small, and medium) disappeared almost instantly.
Problem; On my counter top the horizontal pressure of the epoxy made my edging fail. For that reason I lost a lot of product down the sides. I had even nailed the edging into place for containment purposes. For a counter top, use a solid and substantial containment system. That alone would have made a huge difference in my result.

The product puts down such a nice, thick clear coat in one application that I am trying to figure out other applications I can use this on around my house. Make sure you read the directions and follow them and the stuff works great.
