I think that would work well. I used double sided tape to adhere mine to the wall but found the corners and edges did not adhere as well. Using a tube of indoor adhesive did the trick.

You have to calculate it. I bought the 18 inch x 24 inch panels. I need 4 of them for a small area. 1 panel on the left of my stove, 1 panel to the right of my stove, and 2 panels each cut in half for behind my 30 inch stove. I messed up 1 panel, so have to buy 1 more panel. Cost about $120 so far.

Answer:
It depends on the width or height dimensions of your 44 sq/ft as well as the orientation you want to have the "wave" orient. Be sure to overbuy slightly in the event you mis-cut or stock levels at the store run low during your installation. Keep the receipt so you can return any unused product within the given allowable time frame.

Hello Nikki! Thank you for your question! The 18" x 24" decorative backsplash panels are 3 sq ft per panel and are sold individually. If you have 44 sq. ft. then you would need around 15 or 16 panels to cover your installation area. Please feel free to contact customer care for installation troubleshooting (800.434.3750).

The manufacturer provides moldings for corners and joints. I placed them as close as possible and used bright nickel thumbtacks on the joints.

Answer:
There is an edge seam that matches the finish. Check your local store for availability. There is not, to my knowlege, a moulding for the joints. They are designed to be overlapped during installation. If you are doing a large area, consider a product that offers an acceptable style in a larger cut-to-fit sheet if this one does not.

There are adhesive sheets that match the color of the wall panels and will cover the switch plates. I found these in the same display case where the wall panels were.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Great Once it is all up! Where do I begin? Let me start by saying that the product is great, the quality seems very good and the transformation it gave our kitchen is amazing. The panels look beautiful. They gave our kitchen a more modern look. It helped to that we changed our sink, faucet, and counter tops as well. What I did not enjoy so much was the installation. This is to no fault of the panels themselves, it is just that I had my work cut out for me with trying to cut around the panels to fit as precisely as I could around my kitchens window sill trim. At $20 each panel, I did not want to make any mistakes. I totally just winged it cutting the panel little by little until it fit as good as it could around the window sill trim. It was a painstaking process as the panels are not all that easy to cut. There were some small quarter inch to half inch gaps between the panel and the trim but it is not all that noticeable due to the fact that I bought a paint sample that closely matched the color of my panels to paint around the window trim, power outlets, wall corners, and base of the cabinets so try to hide any possibly gaps. And believe me, there will be some gaps once you are done cutting. I highly recommend you use sheers instead of regular scissors to cut the panels. When using your utility knife to cut the power outlet openings, pull the panel up and towards to a bit when cutting as it seems to help cut through the panel a little easier. I got better at cutting the panels as I went along. Also recommend using the corner trims for the corners of your kitchen walls and make sure to use plenty of adhesive. February 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easiest backsplash ever The material was easy to cut for a close fit in the corners. The overlap area created an almost invisible seam. The border pieces that covered the edges were also very easy to cut and arrange to created perfect corners. I would definitely use this product in future finishing work that I may have an opportunity to do in the future. June 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great! Plan your installation thoroughly I used multiple pieces of this to face my home bar. Product looks great when properly installed. Planning your seam locations and orientation are key. I found that the only way I could cut this due to the "wavy" shape was with a saw & finished the exges with a piece of sandpaper and a block to produce a quality edge finish. Tried to use the specified tape for installation and it all fell off a couple days later despite proper surface preparation. Reapplied with the adhesive caulking and it works perfect. Happy with the finished results. A bit costly but I factored that into the build up front so I was aware what I was going to spend ... less the tape failure. The tape DID stick VERY WELL to the plastic but not to other surfaces other than plastic. Would have preferred H.D. stock larger pieces to avoid seams. October 5, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple fast and Easy. Despite the cost of this product, it equals the looks and elegance of glass tile when creating backsplashes. Because of the wavy feature, cutting with a sharp utility knife was not an option. I chose a large pair of snips used in installing vinyl siding to simply cut to size. When it came to making the holes for outlets, I used a Multi Tool reciprocating saw with a fine-tooth blade. I also chose to use clear silicone to affix the panels because I have used the adhesive suggested and found silicone allows more forgiveness when moving the panels in position with a cleaner clean-up residue within the seams. Starting in larger, common spaces over stoves and sinks are a plus, but can pose a challenge because these panels need to overlap. By using silicone, this too allows more freedom and slower drying time. January 22, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by WAVY FASADE BACKSPLASH Thought these would be an easy backsplash project over existing stainless steel self adhesive tiles I did on 1/2 the wall and was too hard to finish. Kinda hard to cut because of the 3d waves themselves. Seams didn't line up perfectly behind stove since no walls are perfect, so it is slightly off and not matching. Totally messed up the right panel, and once you cut it, and it doesn't go well, now you have to throw that out and buy another panel for 20 bucks. Looks cute, but not the same qualilty as the real stainless steel subway pre-adhesive packets, they look much more expensive and beautiful. I will keep the waves for awhile, but they are so shiny, and modern, but a little cheap looking. The girl on the utube video for this company makes it look so simple, but she must have done it so many times to make it perfect. July 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very easy to install Beautiful and so easy to work with. No problems cutting and love that we could cover the outlet covers to match. July 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Somewhat flimsy for the price but applied easily and looks great Installed easily and looks great up but overall the price vs the quality is mismatched. It's a plastic flimsy material that as long as put of properly looks great but in comparison with real vs. faux the price just doesn't match. March 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pay Attention! This product is absolutely beautiful... I was very close to being fooled into thinking this was cheap plastic, and nearly chose not to purchase it, until I discovered that there is a clear plastic sheet over the product... even one of the employees didn't know it was there. It appears to scratch easily and be a cheap flimsy plastic product until that clear plastic is peeled back. No more scratches, and the actual metal showed through! Don't be fooled! It is actually a great product!! March 12, 2014
