Answer:
Yes they will work for that. The box says they can be used for deck headers, so using it to attach a header to your shed for adding an additional roof would work as well. According to the box, the screws come with a lifetime warranty for corrosion resistance if installed correctly. And people use them all the time for other outdoor projects like fences, decks, and even kids wooden play sets.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product I have used these to assemble the gable eaves I am adding to my garage. I built 'ladders' that were then screwed to the end rafters. I was concerned that the lookouts would eventually pull away from the garage if I used nails driven into the end of the lookouts. There is no way these 4"" Timberloks are going to allow sagging. Are they pricey? Yes. Sure it would be nice if they cost less, To those who say they are TOO expensive, why did you buy them? To the person who stripped the driver, what were you putting them into?? Regular and treated lumber have given me no problem. July 6, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by tough screws A bit pricey but I built a barn screwing 2 x material to 6 x 6 posts and never twisted one off. The fact that the threads don't extend the full length of the screw allows them to pull the two boards tight against each other. Even though they are overpriced, if I had used standard galvanized lags, I would have broken a number of them, these are tough. July 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by #12 4" Timberlok I purchased the bulk 250 count bucket. Unlike the 50 packs the bulk timberloks look like they were droped on the factory floor. At lease 10 we defective and unusable. May 29, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Cost Wise Not withstanding quality the cost is far above reasonable. January 15, 2012
