65-Watt Equivalent Soft White BR30 Flood CFL Light Bulb (12-Pack) is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with the life of these light bulbs.... Happy with the life of these light bulbs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Short Life We installed 5 of these bulbs in open bottom recessed can lights in our kitchen controlled by an on/off switch only. Two of the five bulbs died within the first year. This style of bulb starts much dimmer than most other CFLs....takes about 60 to 90 seconds to reach full brightness. We just threw out the remaining 3 bulbs and installed 5 new LED BR30 bulbs....amazing to have lights come on instantly again at 13 watts for 65 watt incandescent equivalent....and they are dimmer compatible too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine quality with zero failure rate. I've been using this specific item over the past year with zero failure rate. There are now 32 of these same bulbs throughout our home. Their use, in our home, is restricted to indoor-recessed cans. I only use them in rooms where the lights remain on for extended time. There is added overall brightness yet the 2700K rating still provides the soft incandescent glow I enjoy most. The energy savings is notable. 2,080 watts of use have now been replaced with 480 watts while gaining the benefit of more light. That represents nearly 77% savings through reduced energy. Our children need to be reminded that these lights take a moment to respond when the switch is flipped on. The warm up time takes about two minutes to obtain full brightness. Lastly, our son is autistic and he is not bothered by the change.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lights We have 12 track lights in our kitchen, and @ 65W each - TOO MUCH. These equivalents are what we need with a person who loves to leave the lights on when no one is in the room. Other reviews are accurate in terms of warm up time: about 45 seconds at this time of year. Not crazy about that element in the winter here at 8800 ft. But the gain is worth the wait. Only hope is that they last as long as I expect. I've had them for only a month or so at this point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Cheap CFL BR30 Pro: 1) Cheap 2) Green production, save energy, only cost 15w = 65w. 3) Bright, bright, bright, I feel its brightness is like conventional 75w! 4) Nice light color, it is the same color as the conventional bulb, feels even a bit better (not sure how and why though) Con: 1) Instant start up, but needs 30 seconds or more to reach full brightness. The only reason I give it 4 star. Overall: highly recommand if you don't too care about 30 seconds warm up. You can buy better CFL BR30, with about double or even more price. I bought 24x to replace my conventional BR30, very satisfied.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Instant ON, Is not! When the product is advertised as instant on, I expect it to be instant 100 % brightness instantly. Not 75%, not 80%, not 65% brightness, then wait for 30 to 45 seconds, who knows, for full brightness. All recessed 65W flood CFL's were rated poor for warm up time in Consumer Reports, OCT., 2012 issue

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fastest Startup Recessed CFL bulb I've found so far I have tried dimmable CFL's and many other regular 65W equivalent regular BR30 CFL's. Dimmable CFL's have a long way to go, none ever were even fast to start up and burned out quickly(all returned). I took out my dimmer switch (used dimmed lights maybe twice in 6 years) and put back in a regular switch. These bulbs are instantly 70-75% bright, taking 30-45 seconds for full brightness, but at least you can actually see when these bulbs come on unlike many other CFL's I've tried. They are brighter (10-15%) than the 65W incandescent bulbs they replaced, the color is great, not perfect as I would label these a just a little whiter than the incandescent. I would buy these again, provided they last like they are supposed to (just installed them)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not quite as good as I thought. I agree with a few of the reviews about the length of time it takes for the bulbs to reach full brightness, roughly a minute or two. Not really a big issue. The light they give out is sufficient for my needs so no complaints about this. I purchased three 6-packs of these bulbs as I needed to replace 15 bulbs. The after 9 months or so use, my three spares are now installed as well, as 5 bulbs have now died. I will need to purchase more bulbs, however, not ones made by this company.
