i have used several drain cleaners and have not been able to get my tub drain to drain. I have standing water. Would this unclog mytub?

Asked by: susan
Possibly. It depends on your patience and the contents of the clog. It was my first unclogging so there was a lot of trial and error. I'd watched a YouTube video before attempting. The demonstrator in the video made it look much easier. A twig compounded the hair build-up.

Is it good for kitchen sinks

Asked by: Daysha
Definitely, it's what I bought it for, though it may take several times before it fully clears the drain. I cleaned it with an old toothbrush in the toilet between each time.

It does appear to be a one use tool, but very much worth it when you need it in a tub drain when the pop up stopper cannot be removed, as in my case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Millipede Made My Day My double vanity drains have been slow since I moved in 3 years ago. I was ready to give in and call a plumber but saw the Drain Millipede when I was at Home Depot buying paint. I tried it and pulled a wad of hair and stuff out that I never expected. I bought a few more and worked both drains. A total of 3 millipedes cleared both sinks and they drain perfectly now. I bought more only to keep a few onhand and send some to my sister.

I was under the impression one could get more than one use, especially since there are two per package. Also, was given a similar product to test which was nylon shafted. It looked more hearty, but, if you give it too much torque, it would coil up and compromise the rigidity for added attempts at clearing the clog. The clog was a twig compounded with the typical hair. This product saved calling a plumber.

It was amazing and disgusting what this little device was able to pull out of my drain. Luckily, I didn't have to waste a dime on any other product like Draino or a sink plunger. This did the trick. The only downside is that, personally, I wouldn't try to clean and reuse it. For less than $5-6, it's worth it to buy another one if you need it later on down the road.

I didn't have a hair problem, but my kitchen sink wasn't draining properly, and liquid and foaming products didn't help. This little gadget pulled a black mess out that had caused the problem. It took four times before it came out clean. I cleaned it easily with an old toothbrush in the toilet after each time, and have stored it away in case I need it again. A great tool that I recommend for any kind of clogged drain!

It works great in the floor drain of my shower. The holes are too small for the other type being sold (made of hard plastic with big teeth, as shown). That type can break off in your drain. But this flexible Millipede is small enough to fit way down the holes and get all the hair back out. Great purchase!
