All of the greenhouses have them to pump water through the cooling pads. These pumps run 24/7 all year round. In the 11 years of the greenhouses being up and running we have only had to replace 2 out of the 6 pumps. This is why, when they finally die out, we purchase the same ones! They are very industrious for the amount of time these run.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poolboy Maybe I recieved a bad pump.
Bought this to pump off a pool cover. Maybe I have a bad one, I am returning it. The pump Creates a small oil slick when submersed, pump gets hot and shuts off every 10 or so minutes, even while completely submersed in 40 degree water. Water has poor flow, maybe shoots an inch or two out the hose where my prior pump shot 2 feet. Might be because there is no screen on the bottom and might be sucking the pool cover tight to the pump access hole, not sure. The old pump was a 5 year old Shur-dri that the impellor just dcided to break where it threads onto the motor. I decided to try a new brand when i found shur-dri has no customer service or ability to buy parts. I would steer clear of this pump.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ICanDoIt Nice little pump
This was a replacement pump for the same one I purchased 4 years ago...which is still working but is on it's last leg. The pump is installed in a small pond/water feature that rises about 4 feet, and runs continuously during the daytime from May to October. My pond does not have a constant water supply to fill it, so on several occasions the water level has gone below the safety level for the pump without my noticing. Not good for the pump! But after it cools down, and I put more water in the pond, it starts right up again.

Basically another piece of junk. Bought it to drain a spa that was almost empty. It pumped about 1 gallon and then it started leaking from several areas on the housing. Pumped about 1 gallon total. Won't pump anything at all. Lasted about 1 minute total. Just another example of shoddy workmanship that Americans get sold. It looked like pretty cheap and flimsy construction. They should sell this for about 10 bucks. But then again it's totally worthless.

This pump overheats very quickly compared to other submersible pumps I frequently use.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Armtek Good Little Pump
Was using this until I decided to get an automatic pump. Worked fine right out of the box and kept our basement from getting flooded, so it did it's job. It's a little small if the water is rising quickly, but then it's not intended to be a primary pump at 1/6 hp. I'd recommend it if you're looking for something as a portable emergency pump. However, do NOT buy the Floatec Intellipump as it's junk and not worth the money.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decoy Works great for small usage
I bought this on kind of a whim. It's not very powerful but seems effective. It's does not have an auto-off so you have to babysit it near the end of its job or it'll blow up. I measured it at about 6.5 gallons/minute so that's about 400 GPH, this was likely hindered by the sediment in there and my use of the garden hose (less flow).
For the price, this was unbeatable. The box contains the pump and a standard garden hose attachment.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by spinnaker Good economical and versital pump
Replaced one I bought 20 years ago. Use to hose down boat and lower swimming pool level in the winter. Pump is virtually unchanged from my old one, which I replaced only because the plastic pump portion froze and split. For handling/attachingI much prefer the metal ring mounted on the old one to the two plastic ears on the new one. Further, the shipment arrived with one of the two ears broken off, requiring reattaching with epoxy.
