Why can't I cook something and use the timer at the same time? My 20 year old GE was able to do this.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 74 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exact Replica I purchased this as a replacement to an older 2010 model. The frame was an exact replica of the older microwave, so the install took all of 15 minutes. Works great so far! May 3, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the price For the price, it's been a good purchase and I'd recommend it. A couple things I don't like, the door is very noisy to close, not a big deal unless you have sleeping babies near by and the popcorn cycle is too short, like only a minute and half?? Other than those two things it's worked well so far and looks very nice. October 13, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Door/Handle will break. annoying alarm The door is plastic and the attachment area for the handle is very weak and will crack. We had the door replaced once during warranty and then it cracked again about eight months later. Bad design. Also the "food's done" beeps are annoying and you can't stop it in between beeps you have to wait for the people cycle to finish, very annoying. June 22, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointment I professionally cleaned houses for 25 years and I have never run across an appliance that cannot be cleaned with a paper towel and glass cleaner. If you try it will produce scratches on the plastic surface. Just opening the door if your finger nails touch the front door it gets scratched. I have only owned it for 2 1/2months and I only use my nuckles to touch the surface. I can only imagine what it will look like in a year. I can't get the family to hardly touch it when using it and why should they? Very disappointed. October 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lasted 14 years Our Frigidaire microwave came new in our home in June 2002 and it just started freaking out (9/2016) so I'm calling it's a decent unit. It outlasted two dishwashers anyway. Considering the amount of use, 14+ years isn't too shabby. September 17, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Low Quality Handle cracked off with light use. Since them been opening/closing by grasping at the bottom and pulling which broke the rest of the frame over time. October 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful Noisy and just not worth the money. Move on to another one August 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by pulling cabinet off the wall I don't know if this is a common feature of over-the-range microwaves, or if this one has some particular flaw, but since we had it installed (as part of the purchase), our top cabinet has pulled away from the wall -- and the top edge of the microwave is now also away from the wall. We currently have wood piled on top of the range below to support the microwave weight until we can figure out how to reinforce the cabinet (if this will work???) Installers came back to confirm that the wall brace -- which is installed along the bottom edge of the microwave is still tight against the wall, so this is not the problem. This was advertised as holding the weight of the microwave, but clearly, the screws that go through the bottom of the cabinet into the microwave are somehow weighing the cabinet down. The microwave seems to work fine, but of course, if we can't figure out how to keep it up, it won't be of any use to us. It seems to me there should at least be some warning, or specifications of the type of cupboard (if there is any -- these are Home Depot off-the shelf cabinets -- that is needed above the microwave to prevent our situation.
