Bought this to replace a 24yr old dishwasher that was still working but putting new countertop so decided new appliances were in order. The new one is so nice and quiet. Loving it.

On the first attempt to use this dishwasher, it wouldn't start. There is some issue with the door so that you have to slam it closed several times for it to catch. Finally got that to work, hit run and water started pouring out the bottom of the dishwasher. Apparently, the turbidity sensor was missing a gasket and the plastic piece that should hold it in place is broken.
Home Depot won't do anything because it's been over 30 days since it was purchased, and the authorized service dealer only works MâF, 9-5; so I have to lose a day of work to repair a dishwasher that's never been used.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by DeeDee MUCH BETTER!!
I previously wrote on the regular Frigidaire dishwasher I purchased for the price of $368.00. As of this writing the price is higher. It was terrible! It left water stains etc. I traded in the org. for the upgraded gallery dishwasher for an add'l price of $28.00. The wash is as different as night and day. I can't believe how well the gallery washes the dishes over the regular Frigidaire. From the first washing my glasses were clear and clean! The dishwasher dissolved the capsule thoroughly and washed the dishes as it was built to do. I am pleased with this product. Thank you.

The installation is best done by a professional, though you could try to do it yourself if you are quite handy. It's also a good idea to purchase the connection kit when buying the dishwasher, unless you don't mind buying an adapter on your own from a hardware store to connect the 3/8" from the water line to the 6/8" of the water input of the unit and you already have the water cable and the electrical cord from your previous unit. We connect it to the cold water line and it's quite wet after the normal wash. It's a little drier if you select the high heat option. It's even more dry if you use the Finish Jet Dry in addition to regular detergent. We love the upper rack wash option to save time and energy. We wish the rack configuration could be a little more versatile. Overall it's a great buy for its price, definitely worth its value.
