Answer:
I have not glued it down, but used carpet tacking around the room to hold in place. The padding is staying right where I put it.

Answer:
If you are installing the Contractor padding over a concrete floor you will need to use an epoxy adhesive to secure the pad. For hardwood, staples are most commonly used as an installation method. However, the Contractor pad is not recommended for use with carpet tiles.

Thank you for your question. A 21 x 18 room is 378 square feet. The Contractor 3/8" has a roll size of 6' x 45' which is 270 square feet per roll. Therefore, you will need two rolls for this installation.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 38 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy size to handle If you can afford it go with the thicker product. The size was ease to handle because I had to move and install around a lot of furniture. I could do a 6" section at a time. May 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap Pad It was hard to tell how cheaply made and easily torn this product was by the way it was packaged and labeled. April 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product for the price We were looking for inexpensive padding for the "man cave". This product fit the bill. It was a great price , installed easily, and was exactly what we were looking for. I would definitely recommend this product for this type of project or for anyone on a tight budget. I would not hesitate to order this carpet cushion again. I was also pleased, once again, by how quickly we received the order and shipping was free! February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Soft, Nice, great product easy to manage easy to install and very soft, and great product. March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for sound insulation too I used this padding under all my apartments through rugs with better then expected results. Walking on the floor can no longer be heard by my down stairs neighbor. It is super soft on the feet and helps to hold the rugs in place. It also insulates against bad weather too. One unsuspecting feature of the padding was how well it reduced echos and improved overall acoustics of the place. I ended up making cool acoustic panels by mounting the padding on thin wood covered in a speaker grill cloth. Placed around the apartment, our conversations can no longer be heard outside of the thin walls and the home theater sounds awesome. Worth it! April 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great item, easy to install I was going to purchase three smaller rolls of carpet padding and a store associate advised me to purchase the larger Pro contractor roll and save money. I did save money and the large roll was just enough for the job. Very pleased with this advise as I would never had known about the larger roll. November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product and Price cannot be beat! This product was so easy to install. I came home from work and it was already installed by my wonderful wife. My wife surprised me at her age (almost 60), and found this the easiest project to do. The Material is great, and walking on it gives you the feeling of having carpet down already. I could not beat the price, and with 7 more rooms to do, I will sure stick to this Padding. Shipping was fast also, and right to my front door which saved me a big headache in trying to get it into a little pickup. Thank you. February 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality product Very affordable product. Great value. Has reinforcement fibers to keep it from tearing. Had lots of hard tile floors that were hard on the feet. Used it for padding areas with lots of foot traffic to save my feet from wear and tear (always barefoot in the house). Attractive enough to use with no carpets. Also used it under the throw rugs. Saved me a lot of money. September 15, 2015
