Customer Questions & Answers

the original ballast has 2 yellow 2blue 2red what do I do with the replacement that has 3 blue 1 red

Asked by: Fe
Hello, Fe. On this ballast, there is actually a diagram on how to run the wires. You can use this in comparison with the previous ballast, to make sure the wires line up where they go. Regardless, of the color of the wires, they will show the same way on both ballasts. Thank you. Scott GE Customer Service

my old ballast has only one blue wire what do I do with the extra blue wire? It is one if the old heavy ballasts.

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Jackbo, Thank you for your question. According to the MFG,For 1 wire operation, insulate one of the blue lead wire to 600Vrms using U.L. approved wire nut. This means to cap the end of the unused blue wire with a U.L. approved wire nut. Be sure to follow National Electric code and U.L safety standards
