Answer:
The product GE 10112 18-Inch (or different size) is a Plug-in Premium Linkable Fluorescent Under Cabinet Fixture, White.
It has plug-in connections on both ends to choose from, which is great.
Hope this is helpful.

Answer:
Hey Charlotte,
This item (10112) comes ready to plug in. The package contains a 5ft power cord and an 18in Linking cord (along with the fixture). This fixture can also be direct wired. In order to complete a direct wire installation with this fixture (or any GE Linkable fixture), you would need to purchase a Junction box (Home Depot SKU 494-469, part # 24772).
Thanks!

Answer:
As all of our linkable fixtures are UL listed, the fixtures and cords must comply with the safety standards set for them. To ensure safe usage, there are no longer lengths available and they cannot be modified or fabricated. Should a distance be longer than 18 inches be necessary, then a new run of lights would need to be started. Jasco Products Tech Support (Manufacturer)

Answer:
Hi Tim,
Thank you for your question.
According to the MFG, All of the current line of GE linkable light fixtures (including the 10112) have linking cords that have 2 pins on one side and 3 pins on the other. This configuration insures that the power moves correctly through the fixture and can be carried over to the next one in the series.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Defective construction This lamp is indeed instant-on and no-hum. But the construction is lousy. On ours - brand new - the end parts of the housing are separated from the main part, so there are gaps in the housing - and in one case the gap is so big that the lens cannot be reinserted. All it would take is decent welding, but I guess somebody decided to save a half-cent per lamp, so one end is OK and the other end is useless. And this is "premium"? And getting the lens off and on is very tricky - the instructions are wholly inadequate, there's no edge to grip, and there's no diagram to tell you which way to put it back on, and you can do that easily rightly and wrongly - so be sure when you finally get it off to note which side is the front. We may order a replacement, but it would probably also be defective. June 17, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice undercabinet light I found installation was easy. I removed the fluorescent bulb marked the location of the mounting holes then drilled two pilot holes and installed the screws. I hung the light fixture moved it a quarter of an inch then tightened the screws. I installed the electric cord, installed the diffuser all within ten minutes. March 25, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product provides just the right amount of light, has nice design and is easy to install. We bought this particular lamp for our laundry room and now that we see how nice it looks on the wall, slender and with the right amount of light, we are planning to buy it again and use it in other areas (for instance the kitchen under cabinet light.) Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This model is much better than the cheaper ones I use to buy They cost more, but you use them every day,and the cheap ones don't last long, plus the new one use a 10 watt T-5 bulb that brighter than the old 15 watt lamp. October 8, 2013
