Answer:
dBA is the abbreviation for decibels Adjusted. A sound pressure level. It is a way to measure and give value to a sound frequency as the human ear does not respond to various frequencies in the same way.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 37 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good So Far Dishwashers are not made like they used to be. This does not wash dishes as well as our old GE, but it does get the job done. Looks like the steam option helped us get the best result. The rack on top does not move as well as it should, and it appears it can inter-fear with the soap release door if lowered. On the plus side it is very quiet, the wash cycle is not too long and it looks great. Still getting used to loading it, but it is large and things stay put. Overall very happy with the purchase and features at this price point. November 11, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Owned for a year and the outside finish is already rusting and chipping Bought this last year to match our new stove and fridge. Now, a year later, the black finish has peeled and rusted off near the little vent opening at the top of the door on the right side by the handle. Pretty disappointing for the cost of this appliance. Any time I use the heated dry or steam option, the appliance tends to become rather noisy as well which is not what I expected, especially when it's incredibly quiet if you wash without either of those options. But again, for what we paid for this dishwasher, we expected a bit more quality than what we got. No wonder it has been discontinued. I will not be purchasing GE brand appliances after this. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid like the plague... I've had this dishwasher for about 2.5 years now, and I hate it more every day. The top rack dishes are almost never clean, despite being pre-rinsed, hot water run before cycle, blah blah. When I purchased this there were few reviews available, and all of those were good, so I took the plunge. Now, I noticed that the finish directly under the front vent is rippled and beginning to rust. I can not wait until I can get rid of this one! December 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great dishwasher with alot of space. It is quiet and fast! This appliance has been wonderful so far. We are a family of 5 and do a lot of dishes! It is quiet and very fast. I recommend this to anyone. October 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! Quiet and Cleans Perfectly...Almost Like My Old Profile..Holds Lots of Dishes and Pans Too Loved my old profile and wanted something the same. They discontinued this line...don't know why...it's perfect. Most of the past cleaning problems were because of the change in soap chemical...but the new formula that Cascade created...Cascade Advance...cleans the dishes and leaves a nice smell. I also make sure I run the hot water from the tap for a second just to make sure the water temperature is right and ready. This old Profile and Old Adora model style inside space and rack material and metal latch with self cleaning filter, is quiet, cleans..even crusted pans, and dries...so hot... makes it perfect and a winner. Bought it in black to match the Adora Frig...which his also perfect space wise..bought the 5 year warranty so any issues that may develop...hopefully not...will be covered. At first I had bought a newer GE model with the silverware tray on the front, that didn't have the self cleaning filter, and could barely get my dishes and pots and pans in it...though it did clean very well..and was super quiet...dishes were never fully dry...and I did not like the interior space as I always had dishes left in the sink that wouldn't fit...and I hated having the silver ware basket taking up the front space..as it was dedicated space, and the twines to hold the plates were not spaced well for my dishes. Who loads dishes like they show in the photos??? So I returned it for this Adora which is like the profile. Whats with everyone wanting the european style that doesn't even dry dishes...in Europe everyone wanted the American style...They even wanted our Refrig. style...nice and roomy. You don't save water and energy if you have to do more loads of dishes or rewash the dishes. GE create your own unique American style...but quality built ...please.. Maybe your latest cleaning style with the versatile internal space, self cleaning filter and quality of your older models? December 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet & Clean Replaced our 22 year old GE dishwasher with this one. It was hard to install because the front leveling legs landed where the tlle meets the slab . Added a point of use 4 gallon hotwater heater under the sink to bring water temp to specs 130 degrees. I swipe rinse the dishes before loading as they sit a few days to prevent oders. loading salad bowls is like a jigsaw puzzel, plates are ok. Normal wash with heat dry is perfect. Dishes are clean With water hardness less than 7 grains, I use very little detergent. PS failed the peanut butter test @ normal wash. June 1, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I expected a lot more from a diswhaser that cost this much First of all it's difficult to load. The layout of the racks is like trying to put together a puzzel. It does a horrible job of cleaing the silverware. You must wash them before putting them in. The dishwasher I threw out did better. Also the silverware rack is a horrible design. Half of our silverware doesn't fit in the slots. Dishes don't get very clean unless you completely clean them. Paid $$$$ for something to rinse my dishes..... Not happy wish I would have bought the maytag I was looking at instead of listening to the guy at home depot. August 28, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DESIGN FLAW The upper rack blocks the soap dispenser when in lower position and soap does not dispense properly, dishes do not clean properly. One of the selling points of this model was the adjustable upper rack, but GE says "too bad, either leave the rack in the upper position or use liquid detergent" Would not recommend buying because advertised features do not work properly and their unwillingness to satisfy a customer with a legitimate complaint.
