am looking for outdoor christmas net lights that are on a "mesh" or "net" not on the normal green wire that you have to stretch into place.

Answer:
This is a net of lights, but IT IS on the regular green wire, and yes you do have to stretch it out.

Answer:
These light are on green coated wire that form in a mesh design. I had to pull or spread the webbing over the round bush.

Have you checked Home Depot for net lights? I haven't seen 'mesh' lights myself (unless that's another name for net lights?) but I installed the net lights on a row of hedges I have in my yard and they worked just fine. I wound up connecting three sets of the net lights because of the length of shrubs, but like any Christmas lights it's easy to connect sets. I didn't have a lot luck wrapping net lights around a huge tree in my yard, but quickly realized they weren't made for giant trees with massive branches ;). Instead, I wound up wrapping long strings of lights on that tree and used the net lights on shrubs/hedges. If we had palm trees in Alaska, I'm sure they'd be simple to wrap around those types of tree trunks! ;0) Read Less

Hi Max,
Thank you for your question.
I did check with the manufacturer on this and all models only have green wire.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for shrubs & hedges I put the first box of net lights around a big tree in my yard thinking it would be easier & quicker to cover a large area than wrapping the trunk with strands of lights. Unless maybe you have a tree with no branches or nubs in the way, that wasn't such a great idea. (Keeps getting caught & tangled on tree parts) Second box did however work great for laying them over my shrubs and hedges! They do take a bit of patience to straighten into place once you remove them from the box, but I'm still waiting for someone to invent 100% tangle-free Christmas lights whether they're in strands, nets, or whatever! :0) December 30, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible We have now purchased ten boxes of the GE Pro-Line net lights and so far four boxes have been returned. That's 40% defective product - which is ridiculous. A one hour project ended up taking four hours with necessary returns to get more lights. We are now waiting to see how long the lights we have put up continue to work. Do yourself a favor and buy different lights. December 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product We found the product was just as it was described. January 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bright lights Used these lights to cover bushes. I needed 2 sets to do the job. Lights were nice and bright. January 13, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It was ok. Lights are lights. I was expecting it to be a bit bigger but that's my fault for not looking at the dimensions. Product worked as expected. January 17, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Will wait and see Will wait and see if they work next year. Seems like every year 1-2 of the year old lights don't work. January 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality I bought two of these. One at least works initially. The other has a defective plug that does not hold contact in an outlet. First time I have seen a defective male plug in my lifetime. My advice is to avoid this brand, which seems linked to Home Depot. December 18, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rat's nest and a hassle to assemble The lights come with "assembly required" which I don't have the patience to untangle the rat's nest condition that I pulled out of the box. No way I'm going to spend the time to connect each strand to the next to get the netting look that I paid for. After about 45 minutes I had 1 of my 5 packages put together so I packed it up and took them all back. It's not worth the time and effort for what I paid. December 25, 2012
