Hi Sopreseta- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Our Slide-in ranges are not designed for use with a downdraft venting system. We suggest to view our Range Vent Hoods or Over-the-Range Microwave Ovens featuring built-in exhaust and cooktop lighting. Thanks for checking with us!

If you are using the filler or Backguard then the cutout is 25" . The door handles protrude 3" from the door face.

Dear Jellybelly,
Thanks for your interest in our gas cooking products. We do not offer a griddle accessory for this unit. When using a griddle on a gas cooktop, flat bottom griddles may be used because there is room underneath for proper air circulation, so heat should not be trapped. Check with cookware manufacturers or gourmet shops for flat bottomed griddles.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sharp looking oven! This oven looks great in our new kitchen. Everyone comments how nice it looks. The oven works great according to my wife, who baked a lot of cookies at Christmas-time. The large burner boils water in no time at all. Our old one would take at least 10 minutes. The only negative thing that I can see is that the cooktop is hard to keep from scratching. We noticed a couple of scratches on it , possibly from contractor who put backsplash tile. We are not sure. Tried to hit one small spot with scothbrite......now it looks worse. I guess you just have to be super careful, which I thought we were but you can see several little scratches and it is only a couple months old. December 31, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Loud fan; self-clean glitch Have had this range for 2 years. It looks great, works well however the when the oven fan comes on, it is extremely loud and for the price of this range it should not be that loud. Have read where this is normal. Also, the thermal safety switch shuts down the oven during the self-cleaning cycle about 20 minutes into it and it takes a while for it to reset and restore power. Have not been able to run a complete self-clean cycle because of this and it's an unusable feature. The GE repair technician said it's a design flaw and no way to permanently fix it. If not for these two issues, I'd rate 5 stars. May 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Gas Range - Difficult to Keep Clean This is an excellent gas range except for two points, 1) when you cook on the range, the top and the front control panel ends up greasy and/or soiled, and 2) the top and control panel are difficult to clean. The grills on the top of the stove come in two large pieces. They are heavy and make cleaning the top of the range more difficult. The large grills are difficult to handle to clean. It would be better if there were four smaller grills, one over each burner. Other than these issues, the features and cooking of this range are excellent. If we had known about the difficulty in keeping the range looking nice after every cooking session, we would have looked for a different range. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it ! just one minor thing... This replaced my old range dating back to 1971...and found my new GE a wonderful upgrade to the 21st century! Oven is easy to program, bakes/roasts, etc well. I'm impressed w the digital controls - for example, easy to preheat - set the oven temp and the then it beeps when it's ready. Cooktop - the cast iron add a nice look & burners heat nicely. My only beef is that each burner is a diff size & located on diff parts of the stove so it's difficult to see where to place your pan, and can be challenging to work w a pot that's cooking on a burner that's unreachable to the one in the front. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Oven ignitor not working Have had this range for 2 years. It's already had a thermal safety switch replaced and the oven fan is loud and now the oven ignitor is not working. There are two ignitors, one for the oven and one for the broiler so you can swap them out while you wait for the replacement and keep using the oven. Bought two replacements because if one went out, the other is sure to follow. Was able to diagnose and buy the part using online resources and it's a fairly easy repair but just another disappointment in an otherwise beautiful package September 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Unit Only thing I have to caution a buyer on these units is be aware of the counter top depth because the stove sits over the front lip or edge of the counter top it may not slide completely back to the wall, leaving a noticeable space between back splash and back of stove. My fix was easy, with a call to my counter top people, they made me a filler piece from the same material of the counter top to fill the void. Would have been better if I planned for that when I ordered the counter tops, but fixing a old house up yourself is always full of surprises. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I love, love, love, my GE Profile Gas Range I purchased my GE Profile Gas Range November 2012 and it is just wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to keep the stainless sealed burners clean. And, the oven works extremely well on the shortest baking times. There is, however, a slight gas smell as the oven burner lights, but if you use your hood fan you hardly notice it. The hardest thing for me to get use to was the angled burners. Something new and beautiful. I actually read all these reviews before my purchase and I am so happy I did. February 27, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not happy First, the oven does not include the filler strip for the gap that appears between the back of the range and your wall, if you are replacing an existing stove. I had to purchase it elsewhere and install it myself. Second, when the oven is on, condensation forms on the wall behind the range. This never happened with my previous one. The oven door must be pushed firmly closed, otherwise the light stays on in the oven. The top grates are in two sections, rather than four (one for each burner on my old range.) They are extremely heavy, and while dishwasher safe I have no idea how you would ever fit them in your dishwasher. I have already scratched the stainless steel by losing my grip on the grate. You need to move them in order to clean the cooktop underneath, which seems to look dirty no matter how many times a day I clean it. I would not purchase this range ever again. It does heat well, and it looks nice. May 1, 2013
