Rated 1.0 out of 5.0Â by CocoLeBihan Does everything but actually clean dishes
When our 17-year old GE dishwasher died we replaced it with this one - what a disappointment!
It looks good, is easy to install and is super quiet - that's where the positives end. It is a failure at its most important function: cleaning dishes. See my photos.
I have tried many configurations, only running it half full, using only the GE recommended soap and rinse aid (which I never had to use in my old one), nothing works. The plates on the bottom are usually clean but the utensils and glasses are a nightmare. There are, on average, 40% that are left with some kind of dried up food or film on them. Having the individual holes for each piece of cutlery is clearly just for show - because it serves no actual purpose.
Glasses are often left with some type of grainy residue / film on them. Little pieces of dried-on spinach also hold on to them.
It also doesn't dry properly, despite taking 20 minutes longer than our old dishwasher - many dishes have water still left on them that needs to be hand dried.
If there`s a lot of sauce (for example) on a plate I`ll give it a rinse before I put it in the machine, but apparently that isn`t enough. I think the only way to make this machine work is to actually hand wash the dishes before I put them in there, which to me defeats the entire purpose of using it.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, unless of course your goal is to hand wash and dry 1/3 of the load once it's gone through a full dishwasher cycle. If you're into that kind of self punishment then go ahead, this thing is perfect for you. What a let down GE...

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0Â by FrustratedWithGE Don't buy this dishwasher
We bought this dishwasher in May 2014. It takes over 2 hours to wash and complete the heat-dry cycle, and then dishes are still dirty and wet. The GE rep told us that the system works well if Cascade Rinse is used (well, it doesn't), and water softener may help (some of my neighbors have water softener and their same dishwasher's still not working well). GE repairman also said to use the Autowash and Boost settings only. When I asked why it had the other settings, he didn't know and emphasized that this is the only way it would work; Well it doesn't work with Autowash and Boost either. Now, after 4 GE repair visits, they offer to give us a discount, and not a replacement.
I would give it zero star if the option was available. We'd like to replace the unit even though it's only a few months old. We expected better from GE.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by CKC83 Great dishwasher with few Cons
In terms of all around quality the dishwasher is a 5 star product. The only issue i really have with it is the cycle lengths. It has a quick cycle but you can't turn on any of the features such as sanitize or heated dry with it so we end up using one of the standard cycles which takes 4 hours for the adaptive wash+sanitize+dry. We had a relatively new Whirlpool in our old house (under 5 years) that was much quicker and still offered most of those features.
+ loading flexibility
+ cleans great
+ tine layout is very basic (Pro since you have a lot of flexibility)
- Cycle times
- tine lay out is very basic (Con because they don't fold over or offer any special slots that some of the higher end dishwashers do)

I'm not sure where the negative reviews are coming from here. We bought this dishwasher a couple weeks ago. We have not had any trouble at all with it. We had 2 "must-have's" for our new dishwasher. It had to be quiet and it had to clean the dishes for a family of 5.
This dishwasher was the cheapest we could find with the lowest dB rating. I will start by saying this, the dishwasher is so quiet I forget I have it on. I can sit in my living room and watch TV while never even hearing the dishwasher.
It has cleaned everything we've put in it so far so I've got no complaints there. Someone said it didn't dry the dishes but it dries mine just fine. Granted, the inside of the dishwasher is still wet, but the dishes are dry. It doesn't leak either.
To each their own I guess, but if you shop like I do and look at customer reviews when determining not to buy, take it with a grain of salt on this dishwasher. It's a great buy at 650 for the features and sound rating. It's as quiet as an electrolux with all the features at $350 less the price.

This dishwasher was purchased in January and is still under manufacturer's warranty and I have experienced nothing but problems with this unit. Within the first couple of weeks of delivery the rubber gasket around the door completely came off, then the water vanes fell off, then other problems with the soap dispenser not opening, dishes not drying and now the unit is dead! I am totally dissatisfied with this unit and I would definitely not recommend GE to anyone wanting to purchase an appliance. I am currently in the market for a upright freezer and you can believe, I will not even consider GE. I have called for service on this latest problem and given a date only to receive a call that the technician cannot come out and will have to reschedule. I give up!!!
