The glass top of the range overlaps the sides and back by about a half inch, so no crumbs can fall between stove and counter.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 43 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I wouldn't buy it again.... We have had this stove in our home for about a month....Let me just say that this stove functions exactly as it is marketed to. The oven and stove top heat quickly and cooking is not a problem. The problem is the glass (or ceramic) cook top. Even using the correct pans, I cannot keep from scratching the surface with what I consider to be "normal" cooking. I barely cooked anything on it for a week or two, because every time I did I had to scrub it with this special cleaner, and tiny scratches started to appear. I told my husband that I was never going to cook anything again and we'd be better off just selling it and getting something that can stand my normal cooking. of course, we didn't sell it - I was just throwing a fit, and finally I decided to just cook on it like I normally cook, and whatever happens, happens. Well, what happened is that the stove top now has multiple scratch marks on it and one is a real big one (that must have been my vigorous sauté style, lol). I would NOT buy this stove again, not because it doesn't function well, but because it requires such delicate cooking and constant care to keep it looking good. Oh, and my husband agreed that one of his "jobs" would be to clean the stove EVERY DAY, so I LET HIM do that. :) Next time, back to regular burners for me! And the convection feature? Haven't used it too much, but the one time I did cook more than one pan at once, I had to extend the cooking time just like with my old clunker of a stove... so, not sure it was worth a wad of cash for that feature. Oh, and my kids and I accidentally turn it on from time to time because of the sensitive touch controls...All that said, it is an attractive stove, if you're able to overlook the scratches....see photos June 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good looking range We had this installed just hours ago. It pairs up with the new over the range GE microwave nicely. I like the glass control panel and it is easy to lock the touch buttons so that you don't inadvertently change a setting while cooking. It is a slide in that looks great in our kitchen. It replaced a GE drop in that we had for 20 years. We bought the extended warranty just in case. It is a beautiful stove. Convection, and a hidden bake element that allows the bottom rack position to sit very close to the bottom of the oven. It even came with three racks and a temperature probe. I will write another review after we have used it for a while [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] July 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This range has convection technology as well as conventional baking. Easy to use. The range was delivered on time as promised. It was carried into my home and the old range was removed in about 10 minutes. Since my old range had a smaller opening, I had to cut the countertop for a 30 inch opening and move one of the base cabinets a bit to fit. No major problem. If the opening would have been standard, it would have been a 15 minute job. We have used it for about a month with no problems. Since the oven can be used in regular bake or convection modes, we have been experimenting with convection cooking. Convection seems like the way to go for most things. Quicker and lower temperature. Very easy to use. February 1, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by South Jersey Cooks After researching and thanks to the helpful reviews I made my decision to purchase this range. The cooktop is very fast, with some features that just this morning I discovered such as the large element being able to adjust to smaller size cookware. The warming element is an added plus. Used to take an average of 20 min or more to boil water now the same amount boils in 5. This is not only a time saver but an energy saver. Baking has been perfect, broiling is quick, browns evenly and the product is succulent. The convection oven is awesome and does the food beautifully. It is very easy to keep clean which was a concern. I am very pleased and hope to have the pleasure of using this for many years to come. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for baking The range is excellent at baking, something my previous ovens didn't always do well. The temperature control is perfect. Lots of features (probably more than I'll use). The appearance is clean and modern. The only down side: the range will not lower enough to have the glass top touch the quartz countertops, even with the leveling feet fully retracted. Apparently my counters are a nonstandard height. There is a 1/2" gap between glass overhang and counter surface. I've had to fill it in with black rubber cording for the sake of appearances. So be sure you know the minimum height of the range. I also wish it came with a warming drawer, considering the price. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] July 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product,but.... Been a long time customer of GE kitchen products and didn't hestiate to buy this electric range. I'm satisfied with the overall operation and there are plenty of nice features. But, this is my first stainless steel appliance and it shows every finger print. The front touch pad is very sensitive and turns on at the slightest brush. Also, this is a slide-in model and is shorter than our previous 10 year old range and now we have a gap in our granite countertop. Yes, they sell a backsplash add-on to cover the gap, but it's ugly and only comes in black. We had to hire someone to make us a 2 inch matching granite cover. But,,, you live and learn and I'm basically happy with the overall purchase. August 11, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My new range cooks and bakes wonderfully This range has just enough bells and whistles to suit my needs. It is easy to use and lovely to look at in my kitchen. I looked around at other ranges and this GE has some features that more expensive models have. I also did research online. I trust GE to make quality appliances and I am not disappointed. One problem is that the touch pad controls are sensitive and too easily activated when cooking. It becomes less of a problem once you are aware of this and know what to do. Although I haven't had this range long, I am an experienced cook and know when I have an appliance that will work well for me. I think you will be pleased with this range. I recommend it. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 7, 2013
