No pressure, plenty of pressure if I remove the head of the faucet

Hi, I bought this faucet about 3 or 4 months ago at home depot. Well I finally got around to installing it last night, as I have been remodeling my whole house on my own. My question is where is the water pressure??? The water just trickled out of the faucet. I removed the faucet head with the switch on it and there is plenty of pressure from the pipes through the hose, when I screwed the head back on the water just trickled out again. The black rubber switch on the side really does not move or click well neither as I would assume there would be a noticable difference when switching, I did not get both functions, sprayer and/or regular aerated water flow initially neither, the water just trickled. I removed the head again, and tapped it on the counter and it worked a bit at least when I reinstalled it, but still very, very low on pressure. My thought is that there is something wrong with the head itself, maybe the switch on the side of it?? At my wits end.... I do not want to have to take the whole faucet off, because installing it alone was a bear to say the least, and it is finally sturdy. How would I get a new replacement head without removing the whole faucet? I will be calling my local Home Depot today as well, but my guess is they are going to want me to remove the whole faucet...... UGH!! Thank you for your help. Joe

When installing a faucet, always remove the aerator and flush the hot and cold lines. In this case. remove the head. When purchasing a faucet, ask clerk to run off a second receipt or make a copy when you get home. When installing any faucet, enclose copy along with product identification and bar code with instructions in plastic bag and hang bag from screw that you attach to cabinet wall so it is there for you or next owner need it for refund/replacement.

will this faucet connect to a male aerator for a portable dishwasher?

Asked by: Lauren
Yes, this sink (and any other sink with a 1/2" spray attachment) will work with a portable dishwasher. You will need to make your own adapter. I will provide the images of the parts, all of which I've purchased from Home Depot. Please follow the images for instructions on how to install the parts.

can parts be obtain?

we are looking for a support plate for this unit . the faucet is a bit loose i think the plummer may not have put it on if the item was included in box so we are without it and would like to buy it.
Asked by: HUNTER
If you are talking about the oblong escutcheon plate (see picture), it is only required if mounting the faucet directly to the sink (aka drop-in or self-rim style sink). If you have solid surface countertops (granite, SileStone, etc) you do not need the plate because there is a round escutcheon ring that sits between the faucet body and the countertop (see photo). The faucet is held in place under the countertop by plastic and metal flanges that are compressed against the granite when tightened (see picture). Therefore, all you need to do is take a wrench and tighten the nut to secure the faucet.

Can this faucet be installed without the deckplate?

Asked by: rosey
yes, in fact the deck plate has a tendency to bend under the weight of the faucet when tightened down enough to hold the faucet upright

Series 400 Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in Chrome is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 134.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from junk, don't waste your time looked nice coming out of the box, worked well for about 7 months before the button on the head got stuck closed preventing all water flow. good luck finding replacement parts, because they don't exist. glacier bay isn't even a real company, its just a branded version for home depot. shame on me for not saving the receipt, but at $160.00 you expect this to A) last longer than 7 months and B) be able to be serviced using available replacement parts. spend the extra bucks and get your faucet from a well-known company that allows for the purchase of individual replacement parts should something fail.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just JUNK Avoid this faucet!! This was the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased at Home Depot. Normally I don't have any issues with anything but this faucet has been one problem after another... Installation was easy enough, but I have installed several faucets before. Problem 1- it won't stay installed! It keeps working itself loose every time you swivel the thing, after 6 months we have re-installed it 3 times. Problem 2- there is not enough give, very stiff and makes using the sprayer difficult. Problem 3- today, the handle simply fell off. FELL OFF!!! I was in shock and this was the last straw... This piece of junk is going back tomorrow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good faucet, can be fixed Like many other of the reviewers here, the handle on my faucet started falling off within a few months. After doing a lot of research on the faucet (apparently made only for HomeDepot), I decided my best option was to go to HomeDepot and see if they could find a solution and help me get it fixed. Thankfully, I talked to a very knowledgeable associate who identified the solution immediately - through the hole in the bottom is an Allen screw, so all you need is an Allen wrench to tighten the screw back onto the faucet! I wish I could have found this solution online, but hopefully it will help you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water pressure issues The water pressure was terrible after installing. I read some other reviews and took the cartridge out like a few others and now the water blasts all over the kitchen. There seriously needs to be some middle ground here. It looks nice... Just don't use it unless you are wearing a raincoat. Ugh

My wife loves it. It is unusual in that the hot and cold is reversed from the standard but you could just reverse the supply lines. We have one in each of our homes so we like the faucet.
