Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy To Use! I am building shelving in my garage and these screws worked well. December 9, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by you get what you pay for cheap screws. large amount of the box had the heads filled in and were unusable because of this. otherwise they held the sheetrock. October 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No shop should be without a bucket of these! So these are my go-to fasteners for nearly every typical job. I love these for hanging things on the wall, tying just about anything to a stud, driving through plywood, hanging drywall, and on and on... About the only thing I don't use the 1.25" ones for when I need a longer screw (like framing work) or when I'm in a specialty situation (like a wet area). These are handy for just about everything else though and I use them constantly. Here are a few tips I've learned over the years about these screws: - Use the tip of your Phillips head to create a starting pocket in the material you are driving the screw into. It'll help to get it started and help keep it aligned. - If you need the wood you are driving into to not splinter or crack, drill a small pilot hole for the screw to drive through. You can also countersink the landing area for the screw head to get a very nice, clean entry. - These screws work great with wall plaster or wood putty. You can putty right over them and they hide really well. Just make sure they are buried below the surface of the material you fastened them to. - Impact drivers work best with these screws. - Don't hold the screws too tightly when starting them. Many of these tend to have little metal barbs still on the threads and they WILL give you a nasty metal splinter that really hurts. - Don't overdrive these screws. Drive them to the correct depth and then stop. The v-shaped head will cause the wood grain to split apart if you overdrive these and you will crack your work piece. May 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I bought this The product was easy to handle and served its intended purpose. April 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Clarity Just to answer the previous review. The Fine Thread Drywall screws are for use on steel studs. They also have a diamond point tip, so you do not need to use a self-tapping screw or pre-drill when laying sheetrock. Also, you should never use drywall screws when laying hardie backer or any type of cement board. Sure, it will work since it is a screw. But if your tile comes with a warranty, it will be denied of any claim if you do not use the proper screws, and if you do not use enough screws. If it's for a customer, give them a quality installation. But if it's for yourself do as you please. September 20, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by They're drywall screws... They're threaded and hold drywall up like they're supposed to. February 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shed floor Used these to attach 3/4" plywood to steel floor supports in my new shed. The screws went right through and held tight using my drill driver. December 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Course Thread Drywall Screws These are great screws they are easy to start, and have a low tendency to break when sinking up, there is also a low occurence of head stipping. They also have great holding power, and do not tend to back out with material expansion. It completely met all my needs for this type of product. April 19, 2007
