Is this light bright enough for a dark hallway?

in all of the photos it looks like most of the light is reflected on the ceiling. I wanted to make sure it would light our dark hallway in the back of the house adequately.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great, but a nightmare to install First, a little background about my skill set. I am a habitual DIY-er. I have demolished and rebuilt half, and full, baths, kitchens, installed hardwoods, etc. (I think you get it). This product looks great when installed (see pics of my installation of 2 of them). However, I would not go through with installing this again. The holes to snake the 3 wires (black, white, ground) through was too tiny. The hole could have been made bigger. And, you have to snake it twice, through 2 thin tubes. But, the nightmare was the mounting. The bracket hole would not align with the fixture hole. My wife had to hold the fixture as I used every expletive in my repertoire to align holes. Then, the only way I could get the holes aligned made the base not sit flush with the ceiling as others have state. I had to pull a MacGyver and use 2 thin metal sheets I had lying around to shim the bracket so that the holes aligned. I was sweating profusely. My wife's arms were tired. But, once installed, they look great. June 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Possibly the Most Difficult Fixture I've ever attempted to Installed The fixture plate does not sit properly in the body, the mounting screws are of some "unusual" diameter, (not a #6 or a #8)...so don't lose one. The center mount pole interferes with with the fixture plate. It is without a doubt the worst design for mounting a ceiling light I've come across, the materials used are of the lowest quality. Once up, the base mount defies lying flat against the ceiling, leaving a 1/4" gap....and oh yeah....don't use 60 watt clear bulbs, they'll burn your retina out like staring at the sun at high noon. Other than that, I love it. July 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great looking light. Nice modern or farmhouse look Installed 2 of these. Great light and really made a difference. Like most, installation was kind of a pain and you will need 2 people. Takes a little bit of time to get everything straight as well and clean the glass when you're done. Fairly heavy but overall we really like the look. Decent price for this type and look as well. I would give 4.5 stars. Now that we are done and they are up, it's 5! August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's bright for a small light The fixture is beautiful and bright, just what I was looking for August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice bright light and good looking from a distance Love the way these lights look and the amount of light that is given off.2 out of 4 were scratched right out of box & had to be exchanged. Love the look especially from a distance. Color isn't exactly what I expected but is nice from a distance. January 28, 2016
