Customer Questions & Answers

The top part does not look like a drawer. Does this model in fact have a drawer at the top?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes there is a smooth-opening drawer. You just have to add a knob to the drawers and cabinet doors.

Can these cabinets be painted? What paint would be recommended. After installed just too too white.

Hampton white cabinets . Composite.
Asked by: Anonymous
I would not recommend painting these cabinets. They have a smooth finish and paint might not stick well.

I bought four of the 30 inch bases and two 15s to make a wall base of 150 inches. We will set granite top and then book cases above for more storage in our finished basement. The order was filled on time; there was no damage to any of the units and the installation was very easy. Our basement floor is uneven so I spent time leveling all the units before fastening them to each other and the wall. Also expect to spend time leveling the drawers and doors if you place several units side-by-side to get a clean look. The cabinet doors took the most time. There is a finite amount of adjustment with the drawers and the doors and it took me several tries to get them all lined up across all six units with uniform spacing between the doors. The shelves are only half the width of the cabinet which I somehow missed. I may replace a few of them with wider shelves if we need more storage space. All and all we are pleased with the whole transaction.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware The base cabinet was to be used for an island. The cabinets (two) were side by side in place, waiting for fabrication of the slab. One evening my husband walked by, the drawer was opened a bit, he closed it and the entire side seam split open- the staples used were like something you would see used on paper, not a wood cabinet. We were shocked, they had been in place less than hours. We were thankful it happened before we invested in the slab. What a waste of time and energy. Yea they were not very expensive so they seemed like a great deal....you get what you pay for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Missing Parts Looks great, then went to put in the shelving and there aren't holes for the back where the pegs could fit. Of course I couldn't take them back since I already paid for them to get installed. I went back to Home Depot to ask why there were no holes and they said I could buy some 1/4"pegs. What? It supposedly came with all the parts. Irritated but have no choice since they've been installed Next time I will have them open a box and check it out myself

I did an internet order as the nearest Home Depot is over an hour drive away. When I opened boxes at home, discovered that one of the cabinets had the base-board (toe-kick) installed (glued & stapled) on an angle (not square). Had to live with defect as I did not have time to return cabinet for exchange. Recommend that cabinets be opened and inspected at store prior to taking home to prevent disappointment.
