Answer:
Yes it can be mounted to the wall and with ease I might add. I am not the greatest with the drill and I did it all by myself. The heat comes out of the bottom of the unit but blow forward. works great.

Answer:
I wouldn't recess it into the wall. The heat comes out of the bottom of the unit, and there's only about 1 inch of housing from the back of the unit to the heat vent...not worth the trouble or risk with proper heat dispersion.

Answer:
The heat comes out the sides and top I believe so that inserting it into the wall would ultimately "fry" the unit for lack of circulation.

Answer:
The heat comes out the bottom of the unit and the control panel is located on the side. The mounting bracket also requires that you have access to the top of the unit. I'm sure that you could fashion a creative way to mount this in-wall, but it would be very custom and very difficult to do.

That's a very variable question. It depends on a few factors; A) how long you operate the unit, B) the outside temperature that will contribute towards the inside temp which might determine, C) the heat/temperature setting that you operate it at, and D) the size of the area/room you're trying to heat. That's a very variable question. So, IMO...your question cannot accurately be answered in dollars and cents. If you're running it without heat because of the LED lighting is costs peanuts to operate. Again, all of the factors above will determine your individual electricity costs. Basically, it's a 1500 watt heater. If you used one of those pedestal or floor model space type heaters before, you costs will be very similar. Read Less

Because it's in our game room, we don't use it regularly. I anticipate that it will cost much like a space heater would.

Answer:
Assuming a KW/h rate of 11 cents, this would cost you about 15 cents per hour to run. Running this 24/7 would increase your bill about $100 per month if run at full power. There are different power settings that use less power, but it seems to top out around $.15 per hour.

Answer:
The heat vent is at the bottom of the unit and the unit is 17' from top to bottom and adding one foot = 29"...probably would be okay but I would add more if possible. If you plan on using the heater while watching T.V. keep in mind the sound of the heater blower, although not annoying loud, it may still detract from the quality of the T.V. audio unless you have a real nice surround sound set-up !

Answer:
The heat discharge is located at the bottom of the frame. If the TV is flush with wall mount, and there is no overhang, it should not be affected.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 53 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is the bomb !!! Love this. The purpose was for decorative, but I've used it to supplement my heat in the dining, living room an kitchen. I have an older home that was remodeled, so these rooms are like a great room. It heated this area in about 30 min to a comfy 70 deg. And it was about 60 when I turned it on. I chose to have it hard wired, and it was fairly easy to put up. I love the choices in flame color, ambient color, flame bedding, timer, temp and heat on or off, ambient on or off. and if you want to change the flame bed for a different look, very easy to lift the glass and do so.. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this fireplace! Installed this fireplace with ease!! Later completed the tiles and the mantel and am in LOVE with my new fireplace. Thank you for a great product. November 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good heater and great looks I was pleasantly surprised with this product. It arrived on time and in good condition. It was very easy to install. I placed it on the wall in the bathroom to provide a little more heat in that area which is about 100 sq ft. It heats up the room in about 20 minutes with no problem. Also, the heat is deflected away from the wall so the wall does not get hot. The looks are great and I like the capability of changing the looks with the provided materials and electronic options. Great product. December 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice electric fireplace This requires some assembly but was very easy to put together by myself. It comes with both stand and wall mount options as well as log or white rock/clear glass fire options. I chose the log option but can change it at any time. There are multiple settings for the look of the fire, 3 LED light options as shown in the photos. There is also a back light that lights up the wall surrounding the fireplace with a variety of color options. The color options can also be set to rotate through all color options rather than staying on one color. The built in heater can be turned on/off as needed or set with the built in temperature control. All options can be reached with the included remote control. This is very nice and a great value, I highly recommend it. October 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleased. Fireplace/heater. Plug it in and enjoy. Has a remote control and the choices of log, rock or glass to fit any style of home. Looks great, works well on stand or hung on wall. We chose the stand for dinning/family room off the kitchen. The back lighting and changing of colors will fit any room. Some assembly but not to difficult. Must be careful the edge of the tray for the log or rock the metal is sharp. October 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just like the home improvement shows Talk about over the top luxury! What this compact fireplace brings is ambiance. So many different mood settings. Over the garden tub in the master bath makes for the ultimate in relaxation environments. The remote control feature lets you adjust this without touching the unit. There are three different color settings for the flame, and four different backlight colors. The heat is variable and comes out the bottom via a fan inside the unit. Great for warming a small space such as a bathroom or bedroom. Easy to install, but if you want to wall mount it, make sure you know how to install a new outlet. Since mine went over my tub, I used GFCI. Pros: ease if install, adjustments, remote control, appearance, price Cons: cord comes out only one side and can't be moved to the other side, it's 4 inches deep (could be thinner) October 5, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A great addition to any room for ambiance and warmth lots of features and perfect for warming a room. We have it in our master bedroom and love it. April 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional value Realistic fire and embers especially when you add the white stones. Easy to mount and lots of features. Exceptional value compared to other wall mounted fireboxes. Love it! March 4, 2014
