Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cool I bought 2 of these fans last summer for our new covered porch. This fan in the nickel with black blades really complements the silver color of our galvanized porch ceiling. These fans are very quiet, no buzzing or rattling. They make the porch so much more comfortable on the hot summer days we get here in Georgia. I like them so much that I just ordered a third fan for the kitchen. Again, the nickel and black fan will look great with our stainless appliances. The nickel is worth the extra ten bucks! I'm posting a picture because it looks like most people are choosing the other colors. May 17, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outdoor ceiling fans! Yes please!! We have a 60' front porch and ordered 4 fans, actually 5. One for the back porch as well. Good breeze (airflow). They look amazing. The lighting is perfect. Not too bright or too dim. Love them! September 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very easy to put together and install...clean well designed was looking for outdoor fan for my overhead enclosed patio...light fixture attached is smaller compact. The housings is completely contained so water cannot get in. June 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FOR EVERYONE COMPLAINING ABOUT NOISE OR WOBBLING: This is indeed, is a quality product and an easy install IF you KNOW what you're doing and/or aren't afraid to set your pride aside and FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! The noises, wobbling and/or vibrations you're seeing or hearing is 9 X out of 10, installer error! * DID YOU BALANCE THE BLADES? 1. Loosen the screws on the canopy cover. Slide the canopy down to expose the mounting bracket. 2. Tighten screws on the mounting bracket and outlet box. 3. Tighten screws on the down rod and verify all pins are firmly in place. 4. Secure fan blades to blade holders. Secure blade holders to the motor housing. 5. Measure the distance from the tip of each blade to the ceiling. Keep the tape measure in one spot and rotate the fan blades. All blades should be the same distance from the ceiling. Adjust any bent blade holders by gently pressing up or down on the bracket until all blades are at an equal distance from the ceiling. 6. Turn on the ceiling fan and confirm wobbling has stopped. ** USING A BALANCE KIT IT YOU BEST OPTION ** Step 1 You will have to find the blade that is giving you the trouble. Start by putting the temporary weight on the middle of a blade. Turn the fan on to check if still wobbles. If it is balance then skip step 2. Step 2 Move the temporary weight up and down the fan blade; checking each time for balance until you find the balance spot. Step 3 Apply the permanent weight. Peel off the backing to the adhesive on the weight. And, place the weight in the middle of the ceiling fan blade where the temporary weight is. Remove the temporary weight. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ONTO OTHER THINGS: *. ENSURE THE FAN BLADES ARE SECURELY SCREWED TO THE BLADE ARM * ENSURE THE BLADE ARM SCREWS ARE SECURELY SCREWED TO THE MOTOR * ARE THE WIRE CONNECTORS LOOSE IN THE HOUSING AND RATTLING? * DID YOU PUT YOUR FAN TO A DIMMER SWITCH? (that's a BIG no-no) * DID YOU MOUNT IT DIRECTLY TO A CEILING JOIST OR A JUNCTION BOX? (when fans are hung on a ceiling joist, noise from the fan can be amplified through the joist causing a humming noise- then there's the noise from fan that is attached to the junction box causing vibrations. Move the fan 'between' the ceiling joists and use an approved expandable mounting bracket to secure the fan. Or, make sure all screws are tight to the junction box on the joist. * IS THE FAN 'NOT' MOUNTED TO A CEILING JOIST? (if not, check for a loose capacitor, motor collar, canopy or mounting bracket. If the noise is an oscillating hum noise, then it is probably the capacitor. Tighten all screws for all parts including the capacitor, motor collar, canopy or hanging bracket. If the capacitor is the problem, run the fan in the forward direction on high speed for 8 to 10 hours. This can break in the capacitors and ensure that all the bearings are sealed well) * MULTIPLE FANS ON THE SAME CONTROL CIRCUIT? (fans used in tandem with other fans on a wall controller tend to be more prone to noise. In older homes, its common for many rooms to be on the same branch circuits. This can cause a low voltage to be present which will cause a fan to make noise and run slowly. Reduce the current load. There is several ways to do this, one way is to run a new line for only the ceiling fans) * USING A REMOTE CONTROL? (remove the receiver and connect the fan directly to power. If the noise goes away, you have a bad receiver) * FAN RUNS SLOW WITH A HUM NOISE? (most likely due to a low voltage level of 105 or below that the fan is receiving... DO NOT USE DIMMERS TO CONTROL FANS SPEEDS! ... and again, MULTIPLE FANS ON THE SAME CIRCUIT? Now... If you don't have one of these issues, then yes, your fan is bad (BUT HIGHLY DOUBTFUL). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really nice fan with remote control add-on I bought this fan for my master bedroom because the black fan blades were the closest match to my ebony colored king headboard. The blades are plastic with a nice wood texture to them. It is quiet and moves a lot of air. I also purchased the Hampton Bay universal remote kit part #191-691 and it works like a charm. Just a little note for those interested in installing the remote kit. It is a tight fit in the ceiling fan base, but there is room and it will fit. I love this fan so much I think I'll go and buy another one for my living room. May 7, 2011

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very nice product we recently covered our patio and needed to add some ceiling fans. We bought two and installed them together in about a hour. They look really nice and I'm looking forward to getting lots of use out of them this summer March 19, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing special The fan does its job, but the big white plastic-looking light globe is so tacky. The globe is made of glass, but it looks like a gallon milk jug. The brown side of the blades has a faux wood grain that looks very fake. It's priced low, because it's nothing special. March 20, 2015
