Got the patio furniture and it came in 4 boxes. The tile for the table top weighs in at 12k0 lbs. All the items were well packed. Plan to get help putting the table together; the tile is large and heavy. You don't want to drop it putting it in. The job took a lot longer than we expected. There were two of us working on and it took us 4 hours to put together. There were a few issues, first was when I unpacked the box for the table I was missing one of the legs level screw. Look all through the box and couldn't find it. I will be calling Home Depot Service Center about that. The second issue was the bolts. When you start tightening the bolts about 3/4 of the way the just lock up, couldn't unscrew them or tightened. I ended breaking them off. Had a total of 4 that lockup. I notice that the threads would break off in the nut and jamb up. I starting using WD40 and didn't have any more issues. The last issue was the cross member of the chair when trying to bolt them to the legs the welding was ground off and the washer and bolt wouldn’t fit flush. It does come with wrench to tightening the bolt, they were a joke. They are about 3 inches long, so get your own tools out and bolt them together. The table and chairs are not light weight and are sturdy and will last for a long time. One the positive side the all the chairs rock back and forth. They are comfortable and the pillow is a nice touch. The table is 64” x 64” large enough for the 8 chairs. That why I got it. Despite the issues I would recommend the table and chairs.

I received 4 HEAVY boxes (together over 400 lbs.) and unpacked the table first. It was well packaged and every piece wrapped in bubble wrap. Being that well packaged it is clear that all the scratches in the powder coat did not happen during transport but rather in the factory before packaging. The scratches very likely happened before they baked the powder coat because cured powder coat is hard and scratch resistant. In some areas the powder coat is actually wiped off.
I started to assemble the table and, using a little force here and there, assembly wasn't a problem - until I tried to lay in the fourth tile, which wouldn't fit in. I tried different tiles in various locations until I finally found the one position in which all tiles fit.
When I started to unpack the also well packaged chair pieces I noticed the same scratches as on the table. Assembly is fairly easy and with a little bit of bending everything fits well. The chairs are comfortable and the cushions make it even nicer.
In the assembled state the scratches are not that obvious anymore and the whole set looks nice from a distance. If you really get what you paid for is questionable.
I highly recommend using a little bit of WD40 on the screws before you put on the self locking nuts, otherwise the nuts will seize on you. Also do yourself a favor and use some real tools and not what comes in the package. You will need one 10mm wrench and two 13mm wrenches.
The whole unpacking and assembly process will take you a full day if you are doing it alone.
I assembled only 4 of the 8 chairs for now.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lorena Time consuming to assemble…but it’s a very nice set!
This set came in 4 big boxes on a wood pallet left outside by my garage door as I wasn’t home when it was delivered. I needed to get help to bring the boxes inside, but the last box (one on the bottom of the pallet), was super heavy so we had to open it outside and bring each table tile piece separate. The entire set was well packaged so nothing was damaged, although one of the chairs had a damaged resin weave on the side (see photo). Since it’s winter here I assembled this set in my basement and it took me forever to assemble! The chair is very difficult to assemble by one person, although I did it anyway and therefore took me longer. I couldn’t figure out how to insert the screws when attaching the chair part to the base, but then I started to read the text instead of just looking at the drawing and it made more sense. I’m including photos of the screws on the chair because this was my first challenge. The screws that attach the arms of the chair won’t fit flushed; they will be tight but will stick out a bit. This is not that noticeable to me so it didn’t bother me because it’s towards the base of the chair, not in plain view. The nice thing about the chair is that it’s well made, very comfortable, and it rocks (literally). The cushion makes it more comfortable for your back. The table assembly was not as difficult for me, but I did have to use lubricant on the bolts because they didn’t screw very easily and I didn’t want to force afraid they will break. When setting the heavy tiles on the table try to get help as some might not fit perfectly so you will need to switch them around until they all fit.
Overall I’m happy with this set, it’s huge and allows enough room for eight people to sit comfortably and that’s what attracted me to this set. If you can get passed the time it takes to assemble and do a little at a time, you will be happy you got this patio set. The other review said it’s made in China, but what isn’t made in China? I don’t think that should be a surprise to anybody. I find the chairs are very well constructed, but the table frame is average.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by timtsb Great set; assembly a nightmare
I have a love-hate relationship with this patio furniture. I love the finished product; I hate the assembly. The assembly is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
The set comes well packaged. Every piece is protected with bubble wrap so they don’t scratch each other in transit. The 4 tiles that make up the table top come in one very heavy box, and I was relieved there were no cracks or chips in any of the pieces. My biggest complaint (which is consistent with other reviews you’ll read here) is that about 8 of the locknuts they included seized up on me as I was tightening them. By the time I noticed the resistance, it was too late to back it off, so I ended up having to cut the bolts off with my grinder. There are no extra bolts/nuts included so I had to go to the store to buy more. It’s possible that Hampton Bay would have replaced them, but it wasn’t worth the wait to have them mailed.
Another complaint is that the directions, while better than some other products I’ve assembled in my life, lack sufficient written directions. There are a couple times it basically says (in nicer words) “just look at the diagram and do what is pictured.” Diagrams are definitely helpful, but they should accompany detailed written instructions. On my very first chair I put a piece on upside down attempting to copy the diagram. When I finished the chair and sat in it I knew something wasn’t quite right, but it took me a while to figure out where I made the mistake, and ended in more bolts being cut off.
The table was an easier assembly. Everything went smoothly and all the tiles fit in place nicely.
As I stated above, I love this patio set! As frustrating as the assembly was, I would do it all over again if I had to. Believe it or not, I even REBUILT MY DECK (see attached pictures) to accommodate this extra large set! The chairs are big, comfortable, and they rock which is nice. Personally I hate patio chairs that require cushions - too much of a headache keeping them clean and bringing them inside before it rains - this set has only small lumbar pillows which are not necessary for every day use. I’ll probably only put them out once in a while when we have guests over. The table is very large so there’s no fighting for elbow space, and leaves plenty of room in the middle for serving dishes, condiments, etc.
As much as I love this set, I do have a couple complaints (aside from the assembly): 1) The chairs don’t tuck nicely under the table due to the design of the table supports. Only the first six inches or so of the chairs fit under the table so the set takes up a lot of space when not in use and finding a cover that will stretch over the whole thing isn’t easy. 2) The chairs don’t stack. I would prefer to store them indoors in the winter, but they’d take up way too much space. Hopefully the winter isn’t too harsh on them…time will tell.
In summary, I would recommend this set IF you can handle a very frustrating assembly AND you have plenty of space on your deck/patio.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Skip Nice comfortable chairs, that rock. Easy to clean. Table is sturdy and looks great. Easy to assemble.
Weave type chair finish that is flexible and comfortable. Chairs have a rocking function which adds to the sitting experience. The lumbar pillows really do work . The ceramic table top is sturdy and looks great. Easy to clean and should hold up in the weather. Easy to assemble and I am pleased with the quality of the materials. So far so good !

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JackMaya Picture is nicer than actual product...
The craftsmanship of this item was really poorly done. Every joint is visible, the paint to the edges already came flaking off...not to mention, as you pull of the letter labelling, chunks of paint came off under the letters. The finishing paint was also shoddy as parts of the legs etc were blotchy and had lines.
With this in mind, as this really isn't such a cheap product, I am worried about how this product will withstand the test of time. City Furniture for me in the future! Really disappointed.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PatioGirl Perfect for larger family!
This quite possibly may be my first review for anything. I regularly check reviews before purchasing anything! This set made me want to write a review... I love it! It's a larger (8 person) patio dining set, so it will take time to put together and set up. That should be expected. We received the set in 2 large boxes and put together chairs in our living room while watching TV. We did use our own socket set to make it easier/quicker to put together. Using the included tools may make things quite a bit longer and I can see more of a potential of stripping bolts. We did not encounter any of these issues using our own tools.
We did have one of the four large stone table tops delivered broken in two pieces. The way they are help in place on the table allowed us to still utilize them until a new piece was delivered. It did take 3 weeks to get a new piece, though. I think there is a good possibility that pieces would be delivered broken, so I was a little disappointed to hear that it was not readily available for delivery.
Once it was put together, we probably used this set 5-7 nights a week for dinner. We are a family of 5, but often have grandparents or friends over for dinner. This set is comfortable and beautiful. We are often getting compliments on it. We liked the look of the table so much that we also bought matching end tables and plan on getting the chaise lounge chairs soon.
If you have a larger family or often entertain, this is such perfect set. I'd highly recommend!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by deckman Very nice set. Assembly a little pain
First off the instructions tell you how much time it will take you to put together each piece, multiply that by 4, at least. It's not difficult, just time consuming. The one problem I had, that everyone seems to have, is that the larger bolts (the ones with the locknuts that go on them) will seize up halfway down the bolt and then you have to just get a large 1/2 inch wratchet and break them off...literally. I had to do this for about 8 of them and hands were torn up from breaking off bolts. I was quite annoyed and wondered how this could possibly be happening because they would go on halfway and then seize, so they weren't crossthreaded when they went on..I thought it was me, until I read all these other reviews. Apparently people have used WD-40 and that worked, so I defintely recommend this...I had to order a replacement set of hardware because so many of them seized on me. Dealing with the customer service team (was not Home Depot, was the supplier) was a little bit of a pain. I just kept having to follow up on my own and took almost 5 weeks to get me all the right replacement pieces.
All that said, I do really like the set and it seems sturdy and should last for years. I haven't had it outside yet (winter up here now) so hopefully it will take the weather well. All in all I would still recommend it as a good price for an 8 seat set that looks really nice..
