Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 196 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 Good solid shed & excellent manual. The manual that came with the packing was even more detailed than the online version and was an excellent help to this "weekend handyman". I added extra floor joists to make for 12" centres and substituted 10' 2x4s in the perimeter of the floor frame. Also, I put on a steel roof so the Ontario snow loads will slide off more easily. The finshed product is quite stable - the wall panels as well as the wall frames make for a solid building. Very impressed with the manual though. Excellent directions and diagrams. August 3, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by No surprises, looks good I just built this. It took about 15-17 hrs working alone, not including installing the roof shingles. My suggestions and comments: - the instructions were excellent. None were included in my package but they were easily downloaded. - make sure you factor in the cost of the roofing and flooring which isn't included. About $200 altogether. - the Phillips head screws that come with it are a pain, I opted to use all Robertsons. It saves some aggravation. - the way the walls are designed leave sides of the 2x4 sub-floor exposed and subject to the elements. It would be better is the siding extended 3.5" lower to cover it. I recommend installing flashing around the perimeter of the subfloor before installing the walls. - using an air nailer would speed the framing. I didn't have one but it would prob have saved an hour or so. - there were a couple of twisted wall studs in the package. No big deal, I just used them. It's true, as some of these reviews say, that you could buy the materials and build a shed from scratch that's stronger. However, if you're like me - a weekend handyman with limited time - this is a good option and the end product is pretty good. January 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great started kit Bought this kit as well as the 4' extention, we build it on patio blocks / frame, with 2 x 4' beams and insolated and dry walled the inside, it makes for a great guesthouse / pool cabana. To use as a regular tool shed I guess it could work with all items included, I would be careful about the snow load, or re-inforce right from the start to avoid potential problems. It was easy to assmble, the included instructions were not always clear, but any body somewhat handy can easily put this together in one week-end. August 14, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value, but I have some recomendations Good value for the money,if you are a handyman, you could build it stronger for about the same money. Yes the shed is 10 x 10 but it comes in a bundle that is 4 x 8 feet and weighs 950 lbs. Because of this 8-foot size the floor frame is in 2 pieces (7 foot and 3-foot) and then joined together to get the 10 feet. I would recommend buying some 10-foot length 2x4 instead... the floor will be stronger and remain straight....mine has a dip at the joint. Only the fllor-frame is included, but not the floor.... I used 5/8" OSB. I did not end up using their supplied nails because they bent too easily, I ended up using 3" long deck screws. Shingles are also not included. It is designed for 24" centers on the floor, roof and walls. I went with 12" centers in the floor and used some leftover piecet o beef up the walls. Total time to assemble with 2 people was approx 16 hours. Note that the trim is not painted like shown in picture.... it is just 2x3 wood. If you buy this shed, I strongly recommend that you: 1- rent a framing-nail-gun 2- buy six 2x4 x 10-feet for the floor (or ten if you go on 12" centres) 3- build the floor with 12" centres (once it's made, you can't add it later. Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Valve and Quality Keep in mind this is a $700 shed. I think it is very good quality for the money. It looks a lot better than the plastic and vinyl ones in my opinion. Mine is painted to match my house and it looks great. I found the materials to be good.. Installation is definitely a challenge and I am a professional handyman. I did it all by myself with the exception of my son helping me raise the walls. I did it over the course of two weekends. Flooring system to last shingle in about 16 - 18 hours. The flooring and roofing materials are not cheap... add at least another $175.00 to the cost of your shed to the cost of the kit. May 13, 2014
