Answer:
Yes it works on german roaches. The key is to put the tablets behind applianaces in attics and closets. I happened to move into a house that had german roaches it killed them all in about 2 weeks. I would highly recommend this product

Answer:
Did not work for me. A home remedy which appears to work is to mix flour and boric acid powder with a small amount of water to creating a small dough ball. Put it on a small piece of aluminum foil and place the ball throughout the infested area where pets don't have access to them.

I don't have German roaches, but the info on the box and posts from others indicate it works on all roaches, waterbugs and ants. So, I'm sure it would be effective on German roaches as well.

Answer:
TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE I'D SAY NO. HAVE DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH ON THE TOXICITY OF BORIC ACID ON PETS AND HUMANS. FOUND CONFLICTING INFORMATION. PROBABLY MORE LIKELY TO MAKE DOGS SICK THAN KILL THEM, DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF THE DOGS AND HOW MUCH THEY INGEST. THERE ARE LOTS OF PLACES TO PUT THESE THAT THE DOG CAN'T GET TO - ABOVE DOOR FRAMES, UNDER APPLIANCES, UNDER DRAWERS, ETC.

Answer:
I don''t think it would be safe. The instructions on the box say to keep it out of reach of children and pets, and since they resemble candy and have an active ingredient of boric acid, I wouldn't want to put these in an area where my pet could eat them.

Per Orkin:
A cockroach species commonly called a “palmetto bug” is the American cockroach (Periplaneta americana). Adult American cockroaches are large and winged. Their coloration is dark brown with a cream-colored prothorax that has dark markings that resemble sunglasses. American cockroaches prefer damp conditions and often are found in sewers, woodpiles and mulch. They will fly to lights. This particular behavior is disconcerting for homeowners who encounter a large roach that flies near their face when entering doors with lights nearby in the evening. Another large species that may be called a “palmetto bug” is the smoky brown cockroach. The adults are a dark mahogany color and winged as well. They lack the sunglasses markings on the prothorax and are slightly smaller. Here is a link with good advice on how to control and eliminate "palmetto bugs" (including boric acid)....http://pestkill.org/insect/bugs/palmetto-bug/

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 36 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use! Effective! I very rarely have a roach problem but recently had an issue seeing them coming out from around the top of my dishwasher. I sprayed Spectrazide House Insect killer everywhere I could reach around the dishwasher and cabinets. In a few days, I saw roaches again so I decided to try these tablets. I had never heard of Harris Famous Roach tablets and after reading many positive reviews, I purchased them. They are easy to use, no odor, inexpensive, with 40% Boric Acid as the active ingredient. The tablet form is so much easier to use than boric acid powder. I was able to slip these tablets in crevices around and under my dishwasher, and bottom of dishwasher housing, as well as placing them in the inside corners of cabinets. Has been 2 weeks and have not seen anymore roaches!! September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great results The tablets are very effective treatment for the roaches. Their numbers have gone down considerably after using this product. September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's a miracle We used to kill 4-5 water bugs every day. Since after this medicine, either we find them dead or almost dead. It works!!! July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Fantastic results. I used them outside and haven't seen a roach since. August 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Am I missing something? I purchased this product about a month ago after seeing how many people absolutely loved it. We have a brown roach problem, they haven't gotten too large quite yet but I've seen some about an inch long. I put two of these tablets where I would see the roaches hanging out, two on the stove, two around the sink (their water source), dropped behind the walls and general areas. I noticed no difference at all in the number of roaches. I managed to catch one in a bowl, I placed a glass cup over it. I trapped Randy the Roach in there with one of these tablets. Randy lived four days. I gave him a little bell pepper and he lived on for another week. Am I missing something here? The photo is Randy the Roach. June 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Results on the first day Purchased these yesterday at Home Depot. We have a lot of water bugs/palmetto bugs outside and lately I've seen them running across the floor. Woke up this morning and found large chunks had been eaten out of them. Really impressed because these tablets are basically flour, sugar, and borax. About as safe as you can get for pest control. May 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Discovery of a Lifetime I have been on the planet for 78 years and never heard of Harris Famous Roach Tablets. Roaches have been a constant challenge in my life and I have tried everything. The Boric acid powder was the only thing that worked but very messy to use. I heard about them from a lady online. She also had not heard about them. The roaches never saw it coming. RIP...Get rid of the power. Clean to use,. I have been doing the happy dance ever since. To think they have been around since 1922. I wasn't even born yet. I know there are others like me who would appreciate hearing about this can you imagine 1922? April 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't bother I thought these would work great, considering all the good reviews I read. HA, was I wrong. Little behold I forgot companies can fake good reviews, but they wouldn't fake bad ones. I have still found cockroaches all over. Not one dead. Don't waste your money on these. January 10, 2016
