Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 153 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good product I bought this compressor in 2012. I did so many big apartment complexes. On the last project I connected three guns: two roofing for hardy siding and one 15 gauge for trim. I never had problem with pressure. Also I did several small framing jobs. I threw this compressor in the Dumster one month ago because it was broken. Money maker compressor. October 20, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to quality I have a couple good quality Hitachi tools and would buy more. This compressor isn't up to their standard. On first startup the tank pressure gage wouldn't move. The needle was actually on the wrong side of the zero pin. The face of the gage isn't flat either, very thin. Too bad, the unit looks nice and is very sturdy. A little better quality on the gages and it would be a keeper...unless something else went wrong. Pretty noisy, but guess all oil free pancakes are. Called the "Please do not return to store, call this 800 number" and the guy said to return it to Home Depot. Ok. Ordered a a Makita. March 31, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stapler For The Price Ive driven countless thousands of staples with this gun, and couldnt be more satisfied. In any weather at any temperature work excellant. I use it for professional sidewall shingling and its perfect. August 1, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Product, Worse Customer Service My compressor worked for about 9 months then developed a leak in the manifold. After some inspection I found that there was a gasket that failed. You cannot buy the gasket though, only replace the entire manifold. Called several shops here in town, call Hitachi central office ((800) 706-7337). Basically was told sorry about your luck... April 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed... Works as advertized! No competition at this price point. April 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works like I hoped it would Did a lot of research on pneumatic nailers and decided on this one from Hitachi. Has performed flawlessly. June 7, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not reliable works great when it's holding pressure. Unfortunately, I do two or three projects, and the control knob starts leaking air. I understand that you can remove the knob and reseat the o-ring underneath but that is a temporary fix and the problem will come back. Seems most compressors in this price range have something that's going to fail. February 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Better than a Ridgid I purchase both the Ridgid and Hitachi and this is by far a better unit and now the same price. In the 18ga line this is the best deal. We use the units daily. November 25, 2013
