How is the back side of the item (the part that you can't see in the picture) finished? Where I need to place on the benches, half of the back will be visible ..is it "finished" with a panel that matches the front or...??

do they offer this bench in a smaller width? anywhere from 38" to 42"?

Asked by: Anonymous
Not in this exact bench but if you search the homedepot.com website there are so many options. I am sure you could find one in the dimensions you are looking for. This bench is a little long for my entryway just by 1 1/2 inches. But you dont even notice it.

Can you leave the back off and have the storage space open on both sides

Asked by: Anonymous
It comes with the back attached although I am sure that once you bought it, you could remove the back of course it would be less stable then. You would need to add a wall support on both ends, which wouldnt be noticable because it would be inside the cabninet part. If you are up to a little elbow grease i am sure it is possible! Otherwise you could look online (homedepot.com) and find exactly what you are wanting without the elbow grease.

Brexley Entryway Bench in Chestnut-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'd buy it again My husband had a bit of trouble putting it together, although that may be his "unhandy-ness" rather than the fault of the piece. Once it was together, it looked wonderful. If I had to pick nits, I would say that the cushion doesn't fit quite perfectly, it is a bit puckery. Maybe a way to tie it down would be good...it sort of slides on the top. But all in all, I cannot say anything but "wonderful product" at real asset in my hallway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Entryway bench This is an attractive, solidly built bench. I completed it with 4 Martha Stewart maroon colored cloth storage bins. Very nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value When compared to the price of other benches, this one is a great value for the money. It's easily assembled and looks nice. The cushion was larger then the seat. I fixed this by taking the cushion cover off and cutting the foam to size with an electric knife, recovered with the batting and cushion cover. Adding baskets below the seat look nice and add storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Customer service very helpful I ordered 2 of these benches to use as dining benches. It was cheaper than any regular dining bench, & I needed extra storage space. So this was an ideal find. The first one I opened was in perfect condition. The second one, however, had 2 good size dents on the trim of the seating piece. I called customer service & asked if defective piece could just be replaced instead of returning entire bench & rebuying another one. She put in a request, & I ended up receiving a replacement piece 2 weeks later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid furniture. I looked at the display model in the store and it looked pretty good considering it was a "put together, assembly line" piece. The bench was neatly packaged, with all hardware organized and attached to a cardboard card. The instructions were well written and organized. I laid everything out on the floor and assembled the bench in about an hour. It took longer than it should because I glued all the parts in addition to using the included and required hardware. I always glue this type of furniture for additional rigidity, but don't do this if you foresee having to disassemble the bench in the future. Overall, I'm very happy with the bench and I am considering purchasing one or more of the matching pieces.
