Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Senator Had to caulk every joint
I felt in order to prevent the cupola from leaking and deteriorating it needed to be well caulked at all joints. The appearance was as desired but would buy a vinyl one over wood had I thought more about the construction.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hogweed Fine quality, great price and easily installed.
I recently purchased your Cedar Octagon Cupola with metal roof as a replacement for a cupola destroyed by a Noreaster storm last fall. I couldn't be more pleased with every aspect of my purchase
1. Great price
2. I ordered on Sunday and received in 4 days!
3. Cupola material and construction was of fine quality
4 Assembly took 5 minutes (includes a up of coffee)
5. Installation took about 10 minutes (includes another cup of coffee)
I believe this cupola looks even smarter that the original!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ROBERT CEDAR OCTAGON CUPOLA WITH METAL ROOF.
NICE QUALITY, I WOULD RATE IT AT 80% WITH 100% BEING TOP QUALITY. THE SCREWS ATTACHING METAL ROOF TO CUPOLA WERE MISSING IN MY SHIPMENT; LOOKING AT OTHER REVIEWS LOOKS LIKE MFG. DOES THIS A LOT. THE ROOF IS VERY POOR THIN MATERIAL- FLIMSY AND EASILY BENT BUT I READ THAT ON OTHER REVIEWS BEFORE I ORDERED. WAS SUPER CAREFUL WITH ROOF HANDLING. NOTE TO MFG AND LOWE'S: ROOF NEEDS TO BE TWICE AS THICK.!! THIS CUPOLA SEEMED TO BE THE LEAST EXPENSIVE REPLACEMENT FOR THE ONE I HAD THERE BEFORE, SO AT THIS WRITING I DO NOT KNOW HOW IT WILL PERFORM. I DO RECOMMEND THAT YOU HEAVILY PAINT OR STAIN THE CUPOLA AT LEAST TWO TIMES BEFORE INSTALLATION TO FILL IN ALL NORMAL VOIDS AT JUNCTIONS WHERE PIECE WAS MITERED TOGETHER.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Charlie Cheap pine wood, but well constructed. .
Exterior paint/sealer definitely required because of pine wood is used. Not durable but looks good.

We bought this to top our gazebo. Product is well built. Other reviews say the metal is a bit flimsy and I tend to agree but it is sturdy enough for the northwest climate. Once screwed in place, it becomes pretty rigid.
1. Needs to have screen installed behind the louvers to keep bugs out. We bought a roll and attached it ourselves.
2. Price is a bit high. I feel ot should sell for around $50 less to be an excellent value.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Skin1 Get what you pay for
Tin roof that comes with it is very flimsy, I had a copper roof made for mine for strength and looks. When you get it, take and caulk the inside with liquid nail or something similar or else it may fall apart. The staples did not hold it together very long and I had to glue it together. All in all for the price you pay with just a little tweaking it's a good product. Stained and cleared it is very beautiful on our gazebo.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rosydoo Nice cupola for price
Well constructed. Roof is fairly thin sheet metal that will probably not look so good after the first hail storm. Heavier sheet metal would have been better. Still a good buy for the $.
