Answer:
Figure about 28 x 40 x 22 out of the box and handlebars unbolted. Probably would NOT fit into the back seat of a mid-size sedan, but should go into a truck or SUV okay. If you order online, Home Depot will ship directly to your home. -Robert@Honda

The auger stops spinning, but the engine keeps running when you let go of the auger clutch on the handlebars. There is a separate ON/OFF switch for the engine. -Robert@Honda

Even if you could find / buy the starter, its a very tight assembly. You'd have to take most of the blower apart just to get the starter installed. If you'd experienced at auto or yard/farm equipment repair, you could probably do this. If not, I don't think its worth the effort.

Answer:
It is possible, but would not be a good choice from a cost perspective. The engine blocks are slightly different on the pull-start and electric start models, so you'd have to change out the engine block in order to install the electric starter. Just those parts alone, not including any labor, would cost over $300. If you really want the electric-start HS720, suggest you sell your AM and buy the AS. Read More

HS720AM 20 in. Single-Stage Gas Snow Blower is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not order this online and have it shipped I ordered this item online and received it a little over a week later. The Honda box it arrived in was ripped and the bottom of the box was missing, the item in the box was on its side and the box never sat flat on the ground. When I finally got item out of box the choke was pulled out and bent, after messing around with it and getting it bent back right and fixed I was able to quickly put together. I used it the next day to remove about 5" of snow worked great. Next day went out into garage and had a large puddle of gas in my garage around snow blower, it had leaked all the gas I put in it. I returned product at nearest Home Depot, they were great and took it back no problem. I want to completely blame the shipping company but the box it came in was missing the bottom and top and was inside a larger box, so I think homedepot bears some responsibility as well. Ended up getting a new one from a local power shop for the same price and it works great. Spoke to Home Depot representative at local Home Depot and she said orders online have been a nightmare. The way my item was packaged was incorrect and was asking to get a cracked carborator. I learned my lesson and hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No snow yet ! Outstanding delivery by HD 3 days. ordered it early before they run out for winter. Put oil/gas in and started on first pull.Vibrates somewhat and will creep in idle if you don't hold on to it, engage auger and things smooth out.can't prove that it actually throws snow and how far. It acts like a winner

Home Depot was great - ordered it online and they delivered before the promised date (box was in decent shape, etc). So - the day it snowed got it ready to go and 2 of the 3 chute screws came off while the first snow blow round. Had to stop cleaning and rush to Home Depot to buy aftermarket screws & nuts...not a big deal however after spending 600 you would expect these things done come up. Returning the unit and will get a Toro

Power and blowing snow exceeded expectations, no trouble even after plow filled end of driveway! However, I felt the blower it self was a little cheaply made to wear the Honda name due to excessive plastic. While running unit will vibrate excessively to move on its own, it will literally walk away on it's own.Starts quite easily two to three pulls. I did have to repair recoil after 2nd use, but to be honest I pulled it harder then Nessesary. Hopefully Honda quality will prevail over time

Upon delivery it was missing a nut for the handlebar and the side has a large dent in it. I was able to find a replacement nut (also at home depot) and I hammered out the dent in the side. The bottom of the machine was also bent upward to the point the auger could not rotate, it was simple to hammer it back into place with a rubber mallet but if I had not noticed this before operating the machine I am afraid it would have bent the auger or ruined the rubber belts. None of these defects were bad enough for me to consider returning it. I expected better from Home Depot/Honda as far as packaging and shipping is concerned however I am pleased with the blower now that I have had a chance to use it a few times. Maybe only buy it in store.

Product packaging looked as if someone had opened the box and removed and replaced the cardboard packing, but the product itself was in new condition. Tried it today with about 4 inches of wet snow. It took a few pulls to start. More vibration than my old 2-stroke snow blower, but handled the snow without clogging up and easily threw snow across the 2 lane driveway.
