I'm sure as far as performance it would work well. However, I found this vacuum to be very heavy and hard to maneuver, so for those reasons I would consider a different vacuum.

Answer:
UH70600 should be fine on that kind of carpet since it does have a manual height adjustment. If you're looking for something comparable to the UH70205 then have a look at UH70212: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Hoover-WindTunnel-T-Series-Pet-Rewind-Bagless-Upright-Vacuum-Cleaner-UH70212/202223630#.Ud22D23z_cs (same unit. Different color pallet). Hope this helps.

Answer:
I think it's about 3 1/2 feet. Longer than my other vacuum and that's why it won't stay attached, once it gets stretched out it's too long. But that can be a good thing

Unstretched, it's approximately 3 feet. Stretched out it's about 10 1/2 feet long then add the attachment to that figure.

Answer:
When the hose is stretched out, it is approximately 10 1/2 feet long and that's without an attachment. Yes, it is stored on board but the nice thing is that all you have to do is release one end and add your attachment that is also stored on board.

WindTunnel Max Multi-Cyclonic Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 193.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Disappointed! I bought this unit 6 months ago and now the brush stopped working on it. I tried to set the carpet level to the highest setting and still nothing. I can get the brush to spin manually but as soon as I start to vacuum it stops working and it only sucks. I would not buy this product again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It has some very good features I bought this 9 months ago, love it for every room but living room and hallway. Got new carpeting (Tigress) and even at the highest setting, its very hard to push through. I do use it for my bedrooms and I love the furniture attachment. All in all it really picks up, even better then my dyson.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Suction This vacuum really sucks - in a good way! Very powerful, picks up a lot of dirt and pet hair. A bit heavy to push and carry up and down the stairs, but overall a good hardy vacuum. Hope to have it for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great sweeper Love this sweeper! It feels kinda self propelled. Very easy to push forward. I love that the cord rewinds. The pet tool is really good for sweeping couches and stairs. The sweeper really picks up a lot and is easy to empty. I love the extra long hose for sweeping my stairs. Now I don't have to drag the sweeper with me. I also like that you can turn the brush off to sweep hard floors. And because the wheels are rubber instead of plastic they dont scratch hard floors. The sweeper did smell really bad on the first use but after that it was fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I can't say I have a lot of experience with vacuums since this is only my second purchased unit out of college (first one...which is replaced...was a cheap-o Bissell from Walmart). I got this based on the CR WindTunnel reviews. It works great and cleans significantly better than my previous unit. I like being able to do my stairs without holding the whole vacuum precariously. With 2 cats and a dog, there's lots of pet hair which the Hoover gets sucked up easily. It used to be a pain to get the hair out of the old unit, this one allows me to dump the dirt from the bottom and then open up the top to get any straggling pet hair. Overall...A+ from me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Design From an engineering standpoint, I thoroughly checked out the design of this vacuum and the Dyson, I actually took both apart while shopping. I found that the Hoover Max had several more cyclones than the Dyson DC33, which benefits keeping the filters cleaner, which maintains the suction. I had a cheap Bissell that the filters would clog half way though the job, so only needing to empty the Hoover canister without filter cleaning is a blessing. After two canister fills on this Hoover, the washable filter has barely any dust on it. One thing the specs don't show is the suction only switch for the cleaning head, great for hard floors. Some products I modify because they are engineered incorrectly, this Hoover Windtunnel Max is perfect off the shelf, kudos to the designers. Great vacuum at a reasonable price, my last Hoover was in service for decades. I would recommend cleaning the rubber seals with a paint brush after emptying the canister, this will maintain suction and seal life.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great suction, design is ... meh I will say this... I've never had a vacuum with more suction than this one. After two years, it still has the same suction as it did when I bought it two years ago. Regular cleaning of the filters and the canister works wonders. In fact, if you use on a bare one-piece floor like vinyl or linoleum, the suction is almost too great and it tends to stick, even if you raise the floor setting. We have three dogs and between dander and tumbleweeds, have more than enough use for it. And it delivers with more than enough power. That said, there are two things that keep this from being perfect. One, the upholstery brush isn't worth a flip. Any kind of pressure on the beater brush and it stops rotating. You get far greater use out of the regular brush attachment. The extension attachment has trouble locking in the extended position. And the crevice tool is a little short to my liking -- I kept the one from my previous vacuum. Two, the handle design has a flimsy feel to it. Because of the suction on a bare floor, the vacuum has a tendency to stick. And when you move the unit to the side to break the suction, the plastic handle twists in your hand. One day, I know I will end up cracking the plastic handle because of the torque. Still, it's lasted two years, I haven't broken anything yet and it's worth what I paid for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This vacuum SUCKS like a champ!!! Plain Jane vacuum which I like because it does not confuse our house keepers. It sucks up dirt amazingly. It is NOT self propelled but it can easily be adjusted for floor level so a little elbow grease and it works great. I do have one gripe- there is a small attachment that was put in the stupidest place on the back and you hit it out all the time- solution I put it in a drawer for safe keeping and grab it when needed. I got this on half price at $104 with tax. It is excellent at this price. I would have made it four stars if I paid the full price with tax at $225 because I would expect more out of a two hundred dollar vacuum. Get it on sale and you will be pleased with the purchase.
