CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beat a Snap-On today I was removing a large vehicle body from its chassis today. I pulled most of the bolts with a 48" breaker bar (& considerable effort on my part) but i couldn't get an angle on the last 3. My old impact gun just wasn't up to the challenge, so I borrowed a Snappy from a buddy of mine. It's one of the standard duty ones, so it's probaby around $400ish. It couldn't do it either. Husky & their blue competitor's tools have been really impressing me lately, so I picked this one up to see just how good it really is. It had to really work at the 3 bolts, but it eventually pulled them. I absolutely believe the 800 lbft rating on this tool. I highly recommend it. August 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Impact Wrench if you have the right compressor This is a solid wrench that CAN do just about anything however the key to get the performance out of this wrench is having the proper compressor and lines to support it. Without the right compressor and hose you may get minimal performance out of it. To start you need a 3/8" line that is no more than 25 feet long as per the manual. The little coiled up lines you get with smaller compressors are usually on 1/4" and are worthless for this tool. Second, most compressors under $250 don't have the a high enough SCFM rating to run this tool at 90PSI. Example - A pancake compressor may put out between 0.7-2 SCFM. A small compressor on wheels might put out 2.7SCFM. A rare few with smaller than 10 gallon tanks will put out 4CFM. Husky makes one for $129 that puts out 4CFM with an 8 gallon tank. This likely won't do it for you. This wrench requires a compressor that can handle 4.4SCFM on AVERAGE. That means that if you have a particularly stubborn bolt/nut it'll be using upwards of 18 CFM under load. Now, you can compensate for what it needs under load with a larger tank such as a 30 Gallon that has at least 4.4SCFM. The people that have given this high ratings are people that likely have the right compressor. The people that have given it low ratings likely don't have a compressor that provides the right output for this tool. Hope this helps. November 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product "Air Impact Wrench" is a essential to me, currently restoring a classic corvette. The torque selection is a plus for this tool and the ease of using the impact wrench in tight places is a big help. April 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by awesome Purchased this gun a month ago when my IR titanium died. Didn't want to spend the money the tool trucks wanted for a new IR even know I loved that gun. I have to say this husky is awesome for the price. I have used it every day for Ball joints, suspension work, axle nuts, trans swaps ect. I make my living with my impact and it hasn't failed me. Read the other reviews and they must not be running the needed air pressure or volume through it. September 16, 2013
