It says 87 lbs but it feels more like 35! The UPS guy carried it in on one shoulder, you can push it across the floor with one hand. (Empty, of course)

Answer:
Nameplate start-up is 9 amps, but runs less than 1 amp after it cools down the cabinet. Typical 15 amp outlet is good is you're not running vacuums/ other high amp stuff off same circuit.

Answer:
In short; minimal.
These small freezers will really run fine on a fifteen amp circuit, and that includes sharing the line with other loads.
The running current is under an amp, and start-up surge hardly much more.
Does that answer tell you all you wanted to know?

As a safe practice, I try to keep ample spaace along each side on the Freezer. This is to make sure that the unit has plenty of "breathing room" for prroper cooling. I know that there are no vents or intake areas on the left side, but would still be cautious.

Answer:
I would not advise setting the frfeezer on low pile carpet. This can definetly cut down on the units ability to cool, as the air will not get under the unit as easily since it is not on a hard floor. I would recommend a hard floor location as the carpet could play a factor in the units ability to function correctly.

I'd imagine it should be fine. Ours is in a room with low pile carpet as well and I've seen no negative repercussions, nor do I see any reason it would be a problem.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So Happy Happy Happy with finally ordering this freezer! Super easy to place where I needed it. Light enough to move alone before loading it up. Holds tons to stuff for the size 3.5. I live in a loft so the best place to put was in the closet and it fit perfectly. So happy to finally be able to loosen up my kitchen freezer. AND the price was just right! LOVE this Freezer! August 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect size, good addition to save groceries and time I bought this so that I could buy meat and fruit in advance and then be able to use when I needed. It is great, I shop for one but can buy bread and meat and frozen meals when on sale and freeze until ready. I rotate to my main freezer/refrigerator. I also have a lot of berries that I froze so that I could use later. Good size and adds just enough space to buy items when they are cheaper and have a good supply of healthy food available. It also doesn't take up too much room in the area where I keep it. I also put frozen water bottles in it and it will be good for a frozen turkey. I have had it for 3 months and no problems with it not freezing properly. I love it. October 25, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed for my space The freezer freezes efficiently. It is very cold so I set it on "5" and that is sufficient. The freezer is already developing frost inside so don't know how long it will be until I have to defrost it. ( I've just had it a little over a month). It is a good size and has plenty of room for overflow from house freezer for 2 people. Arrived badly dented. Did not affect the inside of the freezer and the ability to freeze efficiently so I kept it. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I wanted a small freezer to store food and alcohol to save space in my new French Door refrigerator. This freezer is the exact size I wanted and it works great. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great small freezer - perfect for our needs Perfect size for our needs. Now we are able to store our garden's produce! The unit is extremely quiet. Arrived with two small dents, but they were small enough that we are still happy with the purchase. The only surprise or disappointment with our purchase came when I read in the owner's manual that the unit should not go in the garage if the garage temps dip below a certain threshold. I guess I should have done more research. So - since we had already installed and filled the freezer in the garage, I am planning to keep it there until about Nov/Dec ,,,, then find a place in our smaller home to put it for the winter months. ...a small inconvenience, but the benefits easily outweigh this detail. Thrilled to own it! September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleased Very pleased so far. I live in a small place but needed a larger freezer. This fits the bill. Quiet and suits me just fine. No issues with dents or dings and checkout at my local HD was quick and easy. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent size October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Igloo 3.5 freezer I was concerned after reading so many reviews of the shipping information that I was ready for mine to come damaged. What a great surprise !!! Mine came on time and the box was in perfect condition. The freezer is great and performs well. I followed the instructions to let the refrigerant settle for 24 hours before plugging in. Very happy after a few weeks with this freezer. October 11, 2016
