Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Wireless Smoke Detectors work great!
We paid over $1000 to hard-wire three smoke detectors in my son's condo - not to mention the drywall damage we had to repair - so when we purchased an older home that had NO smoke detectors in it - we cringed. This was a perfect solution and only cost us $249 for 10 with the promotion! They were relatively inexpensive and VERY easy to install. When triggered they ALL go off as if they were hardwired together. We highly recommend this product!

I installed 5 of these and 1 hardwired one ( to replace my existing 10 year old hardwired unit ) . Easy to install and they all work as they should. I see a few reviews of false tripping and/or chirping. I'll just wait and see what happens. I can't remember ever having my old one or the one before that every going off unless I was testing them with smoke !! Optimistic ( Tip: Using the supplied plastic anchors,::I almost never use a drill to make the holes. I use a sharp awl to start the hole then locate the proper diameter Phillips screwdriver and twist it in to the drywall to make the hole) You do all this gently to avoid maybe hitting a piece of romex, water pipe, fire sprinkler pipe etc..

Very simple to connect all the smoke alarms. Feel safe that I have inter-connected smoke alarms through out my house. One alarm sounds, they all sound alerting the entire family no matter which floor they are on.

I use these in one of my rental houses. When you test any fire alarm all the others go off just as in a real fire. You can hear the alarms all over the house I have one in each bedroom and one in the living room. I am going to purchase several today for my Motor Home and my personal home.

I originally installed 7 of these Kidde wireless alarms throughout my home, including two bedrooms and a finished basement area 10 years ago. I had absolutely NO problems with any of them during that entire time, and tested them monthly. These are an ideal way to provide the greatest protection for your family, particularly at night when sleeping with the bedroom doors closed. Any one of the alarms going off through the home will immediately cause ALL the other alarms to also go into alarm.
We have never had any false alarms either. I recently purchased another 7 to replace the original units, only because that is the replacement interval suggested by industry and NFPA technicians based on unit failure rates over time.
I strongly urge anyone who owns a home to install these in all bedrooms and living room areas. What is the worth of your loved ones or your own life compared to the price of these alarms? If you don't have hardwired interconnected smoke alarms, these are DEFINITELY the perfect answer for your protection from fire.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Charity Excellent Wireless Interconnected Smoke Alarm
As a requirement for Airbnb owners, the City of Portland requires interconnected smoke alarms. We needed 5. They often run around $40-50 each but when we found these on Home Depot we were excited to order and try them at under $30 per unit. They were super-easy to install and work exactly as designed. We would definitely recommend these if you need interconnected smoke alarms and don't want to pay for an electrician to install them.
