Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Wireless Smoke Detectors work great!
We paid over $1000 to hard-wire three smoke detectors in my son's condo - not to mention the drywall damage we had to repair - so when we purchased an older home that had NO smoke detectors in it - we cringed. This was a perfect solution and only cost us $249 for 10 with the promotion! They were relatively inexpensive and VERY easy to install. When triggered they ALL go off as if they were hardwired together. We highly recommend this product!

I use these in one of my rental houses. When you test any fire alarm all the others go off just as in a real fire. You can hear the alarms all over the house I have one in each bedroom and one in the living room. I am going to purchase several today for my Motor Home and my personal home.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Charity Excellent Wireless Interconnected Smoke Alarm
As a requirement for Airbnb owners, the City of Portland requires interconnected smoke alarms. We needed 5. They often run around $40-50 each but when we found these on Home Depot we were excited to order and try them at under $30 per unit. They were super-easy to install and work exactly as designed. We would definitely recommend these if you need interconnected smoke alarms and don't want to pay for an electrician to install them.

This is a great product for older homes which were not hard wired for smoke alarms to be interconnected. As a licensed Real Estate Inspector for 20 years this helps bring older homes up to current codes. I installed in my own home. The only thing that I wish was available would be a combination smoke carbon monoxide detector which would complete up grade.

We purchased these interconnected smoke detectors to help put our minds at ease in the event we ever experienced a fire. One is installed outside our children's bedrooms and one outside our master bedroom. The sound is loud and the interconnected units do work well with one another. The problem, however, is that they go off for absolutely no reason, setting both units off. The first time it happened, we removed the batteries and they kept going for more than 20 minutes! We evacuated the home, hearing the alarms continually sounding, and determined there was no threat. I consulted a friend who is a firefighter - he told us the newer model smoke detectors (all brands) are sensitive to dust, pollen, and other things. So, we make it a habit to routinely clean our detectors. And they STILL keep producing false alarms. Our four preschool aged children are terrified to go to sleep because they think there is some fire we just aren't seeing. We are worried that this will become like the boy who cried wolf, and we won't know when there truly is a threat about which we should be concerned. We will be replacing our units with another brand to see whether we can regain our peace of mind.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thunder wireless interconnect alarms
We built an addition to our home this past year. The alarms were extremely easy to set up and test, supper easy to install. The toughest part was getting the ladder out. One 110v RF unit was used in the new construction and two battery powered RF units were used in the older part of the home. These units were installed in each bedroom. We had to upgrade due to the addition and wanted everything to be interconnected. New building code requires smoke alarms in each bedroom and a CO / smoke alarm in hallways outside bedrooms. Any new construction requires interconnected units, old construction is excepted if it requires additional tear out work to install wiring for the alarm system.
Since building codes in our area require a combination smoke and CO alarm outside bedrooms in new and old construction I wish there was a RF interconnected battery operated unit available for that. That is my only regret with this setup. Great units.
