Is this oven 19 inches deep to the convection fan housing or is it 19 inches deep to the back wal...

Is this oven 19 inches deep to the convection fan housing or is it 19 inches deep to the back wall inside oven? I would like to be able to place two 19 inch pans side by side in oven.
Asked by: Robyn
Hello Robyn! The 19" is to the back of the wall. Thank you for your inquiry on our KitchenAid® appliances.

Can oven be flush-mounted under a gas cooktop?

I need to mount the oven under a gas cooktop. Can it be flush-mounted so the handle doesn't stick out too far? (This is an extension of my previous question about the handle depth.)
Asked by: funkysoul
No, your cook top will require a specified amount of space. Look to those installation requirements.

My cabinet cutout is already 30-inches wide. Is there a trim piece that will cover the overcut?

Asked by: Bobby
Please click on the "Installation Guide" on this product page for detailed information and illustrations. The oven lip (inside the door) where the oven pushed up against the cabinet for mounting is just 30" wide, thus, that is the maximum cut out width the oven will cover.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Self destruction during self clean Unit no longer function after it self distracted during self clean. While house smells of burnt wiring. This seems to be a safety issue. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money We purchased $11,000 worth of KitchenAid appliances for our new home which we moved into in April 2016. This oven is one of the appliances. 2 error messages in 4 months. 3 months to wait for KitchenAid to send the wrong color control panel. Didn't heat accurately from the beginning. Panel heated up AFTER turning off oven. For 3 months the oven was pulled away from the cabinetry because I was afraid the house would burn down. Tonight the same August error message of F2E1 appeared. It was fun going through the holiday season in our new home not knowing if I would have a functioning oven in which to cook Christmas dinner.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing We have always had Kitchenaid appliances, and we still do, but the convection ovens have a rather disappointing repair need. It breaks with too much steam (like roasting a turkey), when we clean it, when we use it more heavily (like baking Christmas Cookies) and this last time, it just cooled down and won't start again. When it works I love it.Our last home had one and it was repaired 3 or 4 times in 10 years. When our oven in our new home broke (it was a poor low-end brand) we went with the Kitchenaid again. That was May 2013. I am currently waiting for the repair guy to show up for it's 4th repair in the last 1 1/2 years. I wish there was a lemon law that would require replacing it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not designed to be flush mount This oven was not designed to be flush mount, despite all the pictures advertising it as flush mounted and diplays where it is flush mounted in showrooms. If you look at the dimensions listed and then have cabinets designed around that, you will be sorely disappointed. I bought the white faced oven to fit into a pantry wall of white cabinetry, but the white does not wrap around the sides of the door and I physically cannot flush mount it. As a result the oven sticks out from the cabinets by 1+ inches and the sides of the door and control panel are black. Perhaps worse, the door doesn't close flush with the control panel because there is a front panel that angles out somewhat- you can actually see through the door from one side to the other because of the angle this panel is mounted at. I can't return this unused monstrosity because it was purchased months ago and has been in hiding waiting for my ultra slow contractor to do his job (already 6 months for a 5 wk job). Kitchen aid needs to either ensure that their instructions explicitly mention that this is not for flush mounting, or they need to hire a better designer who will wrap a white panel around the black sides of the door. It looks like they didn't finish production of the door before they put it on the market.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed twice in 6 weeks. I am positively disappointed with this oven. I purchased it in March 2017, it failed after the second use. KitchenAid repaired it, worked fine. I figured could have been a faulty thermosfuse. Nope, the entire panel & fuse were replaced, broke AGAIN after using the baking mode. In the 6 weeks or so since installed I have used it a total of 4 times, very dis-satisfying. Didn't even get a chance o use the convection! The panel gets really hot prior to it going blank. I have been using/purchasing Kitchenaid appliances for 20 years. I cannot recommend this oven.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer beware Bought the oven in July. Nothing but problems. Repairmen sent give you the company line--it's you not the product. KitchenAid knows for a fact that these ovens have a temperature malfunction. KitchenAid and their retailers continue to sell a defective product. For example: it took two hours to bake a potato. Oven set at 350 degrees somewhere in the first hour temperature dropped to 305 degrees. But it's the customers fault. We had to reboot the oven to get it back to its correct temperature, but again its the customer at fault!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loud Fan Noise This oven was installed last week. We have been using it a lot because of a downed cooktop. Fan noise with conventional baking hums similar to opening the garage door. We were taken aback when we first heard this noise, wondering who opened our garage door. The humming sound is annoying, especially since the fan intermittently activates during conventional baking. It is even heard in my office with the doors closed, 2 rooms over from the kitchen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice Looking Ornament - Hopeful for repair I bought this a month ago (it was installed Dec 1) and about a week before Christmas on Friday evening it just went dead. I thought maybe it was the circuit breaker so I went to look , but no. I got online help and they suggested that I try switching it off at the breaker for at least a minute to see if it reset, but (after several tries) still no dice. My wife and daughter were about to do some baking so they were very disappointed. I set up a repair appointment for 8-12 the following Wednesday. My wife stayed home and the guy showed up at 11:55. He diagnosed the problem as a fuse, but did not carry a replacement, so we have now been without an oven for 2 + weeks. Note my overall review, performance rating, and quality rating all reflect the fact that it worked for a little over 2 weeks before "lights went out" and it has not yet been repaired.
