Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MrMike More compact, the float ball is in the assembly.
Installing this flush valve took me ~ 20 minutes total.
No special tools needed and all the parts were in the box.
I'll need to admit that I 'cheated a bit' on the time estimate since I got my bucket, towel,
sponge and channel lock pliers (just in case) ready to go for the project the night before.
This installs just like any other flush valve I've replaced, more than 10 in the last 30 years.
I'll offer some hints that may be of help:
1) You may need the channel lock pliers to shut off the water supply line.
I've installed jacketed flexible supply line long ago, and I'd suggest you install one.
This makes subsequent repairs much easier than a solid copper / plastic line... and they always line up!
2) Just in case you need to know, the nut holding the flush lever has left hand threads.
Why, I don't know.
3) If you are replacing a similar fill valve pre-set the height and float valve on a table before installing it in the tank. This one has an index line to set the proper fill level. I also install the bowl fill tube and clip before installing it in the tank. Just easier that way.
4) Most tanks have a 'fill line' already indicated in the tank. Use it to set the water level if in doubt.
5) I'd also suggest replacing the 'flapper valve' at the same time. Since you have +90% of the effort done,
the tank is empty and clean, another $5-$9 part is a worth it.
It's quiet and quick filling.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jay Worked well for 2 to 3 years
This product worked well for approximately 3 years. Now it slowly seeps water and at completely random times when the toilet hasn't been used in hours, the unit starts to "scream" for several seconds then stops.
I just expected this one to last a bit longer due to its unique design, but it fails in time just like the other brands I've used before. At least it's inexpensive.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by CAPete Quiet, but not long-lasting, and little water-level adjustment.
I like the quiet fill, and installation is pretty straightforward -- but then I've had practice, as these only seem to last about 3 years (based on 3 failing so far, in two toilets; they get so they don't shut off all the way, and "seep"). Also they aren't very adjustable as to tank water depth. It appears there's no way to adjust the shut-off water level except by raising and lowering the whole top assembly, and to ensure the anti-siphon feature works (code requirement), you can't lower it far enough to have it shut off before the tank is within 3/4" of overflowing. I live in drought-stricken California, and would prefer to use less water. But in spite of this design problem, I keep getting them. They *are* quiet. But next time maybe I'll go back to the old float-on-a-long-metal-arm type, if I can find one. They're easily adjustable.

Bought two of these based on Home Depot associate recommendation. Worked fine for about one day, now neither is shutting off. Very frustrating!

Easy to install and adjust, quiet operation, and no leaks! Do not use a wrench, hand tighten, but really get a really good finger grip!

I got this flush valve to replace an old one that would take it upon itself to run for a few seconds several times daily. Installation was pretty straightforward, as is common when replacing plumbing parts the hardest part was removing the old valve. A feature I really like is the tank level adjustment, which is the easiest one I've seen yet. Instead of having to bend rods or fool with an adjusting screw, you simply turn the installed valve about 1/8 turn and move it up to down to adjust the water level. Turn in the opposite direction and the valve is locked! This valve is also very quiet compared to others I have used, first flush I thought I hadn't turned the water on, it was so quiet.
