Answer:
I've installed more than one Korky - the fill noise IS NOT QUIET! (the other 2 were defective - leaked, and made constant noises!) If you have other noises, you can email/call the company; they may be able to help - I've given up on this brand!

Answer:
It might just be your toilet/tank system - ours was recently installed and makes the same amount of noise as before (maybe the title makes it a little misleading)

I don't think it's noisy. I don't know why yours would be. You can call Korky at the number on their instructions. They're easy to deal with. Korky Fill Valve is definitely quieter than a Fluidmaster.

If it has been installed properly, the noise should be minimal. If you have high water pressure into the home it could cause it to be a little louder than usual because of the high volume of water pressing through the fill valve. Does yours fill quickly? Do you have high water pressure on your faucets and outside hose bibs? Do you have a water regulator valve on your home that is working properly? (This is located off the main water line that feeds into your home.) I have installed 6 of these and have not had one faulty yet and the noise level was minimal. It's going to make some noise, but nothing out of the ordinary. Read Less

Sometimes when attaching the refill tube, it can be pushed too far in and actually moves the float out of place. Simply take off the white cap and twist the cap assembly clockwise until it will not turn anymore. If you tap on the top of the float, it should move freely inside the unit. Place the whitecap back on the fill valve and attach the refill tube without rotating the internal float. If you would prefer to work on this over the phone, please give us a call by dialing 1-800-528-3553 and we will have your fill valve functioning correctly in no time! Read Less

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 141 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet, but not long-lasting, and little water-level adjustment. I like the quiet fill, and installation is pretty straightforward -- but then I've had practice, as these only seem to last about 3 years (based on 3 failing so far, in two toilets; they get so they don't shut off all the way, and "seep"). Also they aren't very adjustable as to tank water depth. It appears there's no way to adjust the shut-off water level except by raising and lowering the whole top assembly, and to ensure the anti-siphon feature works (code requirement), you can't lower it far enough to have it shut off before the tank is within 3/4" of overflowing. I live in drought-stricken California, and would prefer to use less water. But in spite of this design problem, I keep getting them. They *are* quiet. But next time maybe I'll go back to the old float-on-a-long-metal-arm type, if I can find one. They're easily adjustable. August 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great Bought online.... arrived on time... works great. No more overflowing toilet August 16, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Short life I installed one and it lasted about a year. I replaced it with the same model Korky fill valve. The second on lasted not much longer than the first one. Toilet keeps filling and I confirmed it wasn't the flapper by installing a new flapper before replacing the full valve. I switched to Fluidmaster brand which has a more traditional style float. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy installation and quiet operation. I got this flush valve to replace an old one that would take it upon itself to run for a few seconds several times daily. Installation was pretty straightforward, as is common when replacing plumbing parts the hardest part was removing the old valve. A feature I really like is the tank level adjustment, which is the easiest one I've seen yet. Instead of having to bend rods or fool with an adjusting screw, you simply turn the installed valve about 1/8 turn and move it up to down to adjust the water level. Turn in the opposite direction and the valve is locked! This valve is also very quiet compared to others I have used, first flush I thought I hadn't turned the water on, it was so quiet. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by i give up! Well... it started out ok... but after about two weeks, I noticed an annoying "squeak" right when the device shut off after the tank was full. Now about two months later, i notice a similar "squeak" once the water starts to go down after a flush. What IS this??? The "Quiet Fill" part still holds true, as the water fills the tank with little noise, but the "squeak" at the end... is unbearable!! I guess I'll just replace this device with something else. That's $11 I'll never see again, but I'm glad that it was ONLY $11! June 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great! MADE IN THE USA! This fill valve is very quiet and very easy to install. The height easily adjusts from 7 3/4" to 13 1/2" to fit most all toilets. Fits all two piece toilets and most one piece toilets. There is an internal float that makes installation easier, takes up less room in tank, no float sliding up and down or getting in the way. Also, has a strainer within it to catch sand and sediment for a longer life. It has a twist-lock adjustment for easy installation. This valve is recommended for problems with running toilet, noisy toilet, no or slow refill, no or weak flush, or too much/too little water in the bowl. It is an anti-siphon design. This valve is made of plastic but seems to be high quality, durable material. Made in the USA!!! 5 yr warranty. Go to www.korky.com for more info and installation video. November 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Adjustable Height Fill Valve I have an old Case toilet that I refurbished. Case went out of business decades ago and parts are expensive. The tank is only 10 inches tall and I needed an adjustable valve. I 'Watney'd' the tank with my Dremel, installed this, and it works great. December 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install and perfect usage! Korky QuietFILL Fill Valve is a great full valve - perfect for any toilet! it had really easy instructions to follow and completely seamless installation. Worked perfectly on the first flush after installing and does not seem to take too long, make too much noise, or really use a whole ton of water. The Korky QuietFILL Fill Valve takes it back to the basics without being too fancy. November 20, 2015
