Very recently my family changed from a family of 2 to a blended family of 5. What used to be a laundry schedule of one day of laundering per week has quickly changed into a chore of more than several loads of laundry per day. If it werent for this dryer I would feel tortured. While the clothes have time to time come out not quite dry using the pre-set options (and by this I mean the pockets in heavy jeans are still a tiny bit damp in the corners), the bonuses of this dryer more than make up for any additional dry time needed on an every once in a while basis. There are tons of settings so every load of laundry is done perfectly...from cottons, to delicates, and everything in between. This dryer even has a wrinkle guard so my clothes still look great even when Ive forgotten them in there for a while! All in all, this machine is fantastic! It is pricey, but I've discovered it is more than worth it if you have a big family, or want to get your many loads of laundry done well.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Aloha Lint filter hard to use and breaks easy
The lint filter is the weak link that makes this an un-recommendable dryer. the filter is a plastic folder that you have to remove, open, clean lint from floppying walls, refold and reinsert. If all thats not bad enough, its plastic hinges broke after four months making holes in the thin filter fabric and protruding so it is unable to be reinserted into machine. LG does not include this $25 part in their warranty so it could cost $75 a year for replacements. the buttons are hard to see inside the touch sensitive glass unlike real buttons on the kenmore version. the options are too many and it locks you into things you may not want.. like the cotton setting is locked on medium heat and you can not change it to high heat, you have to make another selection for high heat that locks you into 51 minutes instead of the 41 minutes on cotton. The size and look is great but I prefer a bit smaller simple $300 GE with a screen lint filter below door that I just swipe my had across to clean and a knob to select time and temp and a start button. simple, durable, affordable.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rick I expected better from LG
I have to admit that my LG appliances are excellent. My runaround with HD/LG service left me without a dryer for 2+ months. I purchased this dryer as a propane dryer ans paid for installation. It was dropped off and I was informed that I needed to contact LG about the conversion from Natural Gas to Propane. Called LG and paid for the part and was told to contact my local plumber/gas handler person. Plumber came charged $250 for the conversion tested unit and said it was faulty, said I had to call LG about the repair. Called LG they said that the plumber must have caused the failure and I needed to call him back. Needless to mention the clock started again. He found the failure (broken igniter) and said I needed to call LG back... anyway you get the idea. Unless there is a compelling reason I will be avoiding LG products in the future.

I love the LG Gas Dryer, it works beautifully! Very disappointed that the recommended conversion kit was incorrect for it & my new dryer sat in our den waiting for the correct part. I also had to pay a repairman.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Patrick Great Dryer...
Went to Home Depot due to their reputation. They had the best price for the dryer, with free delivery and removal of the old unit. The delivery crew was very professional and did the work quickly, and explain the machine. I would buy from Home Depot again.

Already put the steam sterilize cycle through a test as our puppy soiled a king size comfortable. We have oversize bedding, pillows, XL camping bags, etc. and this dryer can handle it all.
Purchased with 5-year extended warranty at a very reasonable rate.
The control dial and push buttons feel solid, unlike some other (expensive) brands. All components feels, sounds, and looks like "quality" materials and workmanship. I'm an engineer and I am very pleased with this dryer.
The only minor 'niggle' I have is the steam water reservoir is not fed from a house hose line like on other makes/models. I have to manually refill the supply after 2-3 steam cycles. That said, I only use DISTILLED water because our water is moderately hard and I want to prevent buildup in the dryer. So actually the water supply is a non-issue for me, those with good tap water might find it bothersome.
Stand pedestal is solid and well built. The lint filter is a micro-fine mesh that pops open for easy cleaning. The dryer has diagnostics built in. So you can test if the venting is blocked or restricted.
You will need light in the laundry room or a light over the control panel to see all the options and choices.
Dryer is quiet when running, actually soothing. Control sounds are pleasant and can be turned off if desired.
VERY happy with my dryer choice. I usually struggle in making this kind of purchase decision, but in this case I found it easy to choose and is completely without remorse.
