Answer:
I doubt it, only would use it in an enclosed space, as it is a space heater, not a furnace.

Answer:
I doubt it, as it is not metal, and I move it twice daily while running with no problem. But, a toddler possibly could push it over, as it is tall and slender.

Answer:
The outer casing itself does not get hot. However, the air blowing out of the vent is hot. I can hold my hand on the plastic vent for about 3 seconds, while it is on full, before it gets uncomfortable. I would suspect that a toddler's natural reflex would be to pul away if it was uncomfortable. It isn't as if an immediate burn would result if the housing was touched.

Answer:
The warranty is 3 years from the date of purchase. Lasko will repair or replace the unit at its discretion. Discretion meaning that the unit shows no sign of abuse. You must contact the company at the customer service number to get an RA# before returning any unit. I'm sure the unit will be covered under HD's return policy as well, that I believe is 90 days. HOLD ON TO YOUR RECEIPT!

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 162 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A nice winter companion Used it for about 1 week, and so far happy with the purchase decision. The only thing is it doesn't have a timer (as described on the website). Pro: * quiet enough (can talk sitting near it) * oscillates inside the gill inconspicuously * fan blows out hot air so heat disperses further out (unlike the quartz heaters we had) Con: * no timer (a pretty important feature) * price was higher than other heaters (with similar BTU output) * manual says you have to plug it directly to the wall outlet -- not even to a power strip. The cord may not be long enough for some areas. Would be great if the cord is retractable like my vacuum cleaner's. January 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ceramic Tower Heater The only assembly required to put this heater in service involved screwing the base onto the heater body. The heater controls and the remote are easy to use. The heater output was more than adequate to warm the enclosed porch where it is being used, March 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Electronic Ceramic Heater Excellent features. Easy assembly. Instant heat exactly where you want it and thermostat controlled. A+++ March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Bought this Lasko heater for our camper trailer. Love the 360 rotation feature. Very quiet & sturdy. Easy to assemble. March 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for moderate heating Bought this to heat a 3-season room with plastic wind screens over the windows in the winter on the Delaware beach. Room is 12 x 12 and drafty since it's really just a modified screened porch. The heater worked well as long as the outside temps stayed at 40 or above. Below 40, the unit could not keep the space warm, even on the highest setting. We liked several features including the upright design and the adjustable oscillation which allowed us to point the heat at sitting height directly at different sized groups. The unit is very quiet. Assembly and operation were also easy. My wife loves the remote control. January 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by VERY GOOD. HOWEVER... I like the discharge port at the top (it discharges at mattress level). Quiet enough that it does not disturb my sleep (I'm a light sleeper). Although I do have to cover the digital display (too bright for me). It keeps an 11 x 17 bedroom several degrees warmer that the rest of the house. ( with no increase in the electric bill). In north central Florida, I only use it two to three months per year. After about four years the oscilation feature malfunctions. Some times you can not turn off the oscilation feature. After a few re-starts, I am able to lock it in to one position, which is what I want anyway. Just don't touch the oscilation button. I plan to retire this unit to my office, But, most newer units don't have the features I like for the bedroom (discharge at the top). I'm still searching.... November 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Space Heater Great price for a space heater that is efficient and heats the room well. Happy I purchased it. March 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by to date this product has performed better than any other space heater I have had. I have just begun to use this space heater. It heats the room very well which I can attribute to theoscillating fan. I hesitate to ratethis product as excellent because I have had several brand name product, Craftsman, Cuisenart, Black & Decker and others that were really great when they were not made in China. Too often the products that were once made in the USA do not work or do not last more than a year. I'll have to see how this heater works during the guarantee period. I would not mind paying more for a product of quality that in the end gives me better value. December 18, 2012
