Rated 4 out of 5Â by JerseyShorePaul Very nice deck box
This deck box is a nice upgrade from the plastic/resin deck boxes one usually sees in home centers. It looks better and is far more sturdy. Easy to assemble as well.
It does need a fresh coat of exterior grade oil. The manufacturer's finish was quite thin. I suggest teak oil.
Two deficiencies: 1) It lacks handles/wheels so it can be tough to move once loaded. 2) The legs do not come with risers to lift the bare end-grain wood above the surface of the deck/patio. Left in this state, the legs will wick moisture and rot prematurely.

Fairly simple to put together; item that arrived was slightly damaged-had some broken trim that needed glue repair. Wood is fairly soft and protective coating seemed thin, so I opted to paint the outside and clear coat the inside. With these fix ups, I am satisfied with this product. Plastic versions of the same type of trunk did not appeal to me at all-and this cost only a small bit more.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Faust less than described
when I started researching patio boxes for winter storage, this box was describes as being built of a wood that is similar to teak in strength and durability. Upon arrival it's evident that the wood is more like balsa. All the screws are exposed making it even look cheap and the interior floor joinery is staples. If this thing lasts through next winter I'll be amazed.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Ally Great price, does the job, looks good on deck.
I was looking for a "deck box" to hold outdoor deck cushions when not in use. The price range was around $100 for an all-plastic box to $1,000 for nice-looking wooden storage boxes/benches. The middle-range products didn't seem much better than the cheapest ones and I didn't want to spend $1,000 to store cushions. Finally, found this very reasonably priced product, advertised as "designed in Canada, made in China." The design is nice, though wood is soft (would dent easily if it's in a place where it would get dinged up) and finish (a 'natural' stain) is cheap but looks fine if you don't mind that it is yellow-ish). The stain had a strong smell when taken out of the box but that disappeared completely soon after. The product was relatively easy to put together and the screw holes, etc. are nicely aligned. Instructions were so-so, but not so hard to figure out. Best in a covered area, as a little rain gets in during big storms. I might cover with a tarp in winter to keep the wood in decent condition, but the box does look quite nice on the deck compared to plastic, and just fits all of our cushions. Could be used as a place to place drinks or snacks on trays, but I wouldn't encourage people to sit on it (too tall for that anyhow). Remember that the size given is for the outside of box, not the inside storage area.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by dreti Simple to assemble. Flimsy construction. Not very water resistant.
I give this 2 stars because you basically get what you pay for here. If you want something that will last for years and protect what's in it... buy something else.
